Interesting concept!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response!
Regarding the conflict, I meant the reason why the mom was upset in the game didn't feel too clear to me... I feel like 'hope' is not enough of a justification for the mom to throw a tantrum (smash the cup etc). Now that I understand that MC/FL are legal adults, my assumption is that the mom just doesn't want MC to leave her by herself? Is she a controlling/possessive person? Is the MC/FL in a Romeo/Juliet kind of relationship, hence the disapproval (at least on MC's side)?
In any case, I will try this game again sometime in the future. Hope I get a good ending when I do! Hehehe.
Note: I just realised that part of the top of the game got cut (in my stream) even though it looked fine when I was playing. Maybe it's my OBS settings, I'm sorry about that! :(
Potential bug?
I thought I would get a good ending, but the game screen just flashed and returned to the main screen, and this happened twice. I intentionally tried to get the other 2 (bad) endings, and those were successful. Kinda sad that I couldn't see their good ending... :')

Thoughts (spoiler warning!):
All in all, I like the art style, character design, and overall concept. It's very unique, and I like that there are cultural elements like altar and incense to add to the atmosphere of the game.
I could see the logic of the items we were supposed to interact with to interact with other items, but I wish there was a bit more explanation on what the conflict was in the story because without it it's hard to relate to the MC. I understand wanting to leave room for interpretation with some of the clues of emotional state (e.g. broken cup, messy slippers, torn up letter), but no one talks about the intentions/context at all, making it seem like an unfair way to villainize the character who never even appears in the game. It also didn't help that I don't know whether MC and the girl are adults or not, so choosing between different dialogue options makes me feel conflicted.
I even tried to read the original text with the same title because I needed to know the ending lol. I only know some Indonesian and the spelling used in the book is very old-school so I was struggling to understand. I'm so curious though.
I didn't think I'd spend 2.5 hours playing this. It was excruciating, but it was hilarious too (in between agonising and being confuzzled). Thank you for making this game, it was good fun.
