Wow this was really good! I echo the comments about how natural it was to pick up without a tutorial. Really well designed, this is one I could definitely see being made into a larger title, it has a lot of potential and had me hooked.

I echo the positive comments about the menu countdown - smart and unique idea! Great amount of depth as well with the sliding. Nice level design too - varied with a good difficulty balance.

This was great. Everything felt natural and tactile to interact with. The look and presentation was also great - and the sound design!

Thank you for playing! This was such a lovely comment, really appreciate the kind words and I’m glad it resonated with you!

Thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing and for leaving such detailed feedback! I’m sorry to hear you encountered a bug with the “Shutdown” UI. This is not something I encountered in my (limited) testing but I’ll be sure to investigate and fix post-jam!

Thank you for playing, a really nice comment to receive!

The game looks beautiful. Really nice polish in various places. Feels good interacting with things. Even minor things like the smooth TV transition when selecting the scene folder, and each individual key being visibly pressed in game.

Great work. The art style is beautiful. Really hits that "atmosphere" vibe I crave. Feels good to interact with too. Quick to get used to and there's definitely a hook to keep me engaged.

I thought this was great! Loved the concept, really unique. Writing was engaging and a lot of thought had gone into the branching paths. It took a while to get immersed as the challenge was to take in the story with pressurised timers, per world leader. But I thought it was really smart overall.

This was next level! So much to pick apart here that I loved. The obvious one - the narrator was awesome. Couldn't tell if the direction was to count down to 50 and get progressively sleepier, or you counted down from 50 in several tones of sleepy-ness and a random one was picked - either way it was perfect. Oh, and ragdoll sheep. I had a sheep escape and then actively tried to break the game by dragging sheep out but it was surprisingly durable for a jam. Great ambient lighting in the apartment. Great SFX. Not even mentioning the meta countdown detail. My favourite I've played so far albeit I've only managed about 6 but I think it will be hard to beat!

This was awesome!! I know this is only small but just from the first "press space to start" interaction with the bounce animation and sound effect I knew this was gonna be good. Everything feels so responsive and tactile. You really nailed how everything feels to interact with all the curves on the animations. I didn't get a winning run, only negative for me is you're right - it is an absurdly short countdown! Definitely a skill issue on my end.

Nice man! The audio on the monster chasing worked really well, constantly saved me when being chased from behind. I tried a few attempts but didn't get a winning run, though definitely think it's doable. I appreciate the random numbers each time too!

Hahaha, thank you so much for playing!

Thank you so much for playing and for the awesome feedback! I agree with the feeling of nothing happening at times and being confusing to the player - there was more I wanted to add during some of the downtime and gaps but I didn't manage to get things implemented in time! Maybe I will work on it more :)

Wow this is definitely one of my favourites. So much charm and personality! Feels so smooth and intuitive as well, even the little shakes when clicking the characters just feel good! And I love how the crowd volume just gets louder and more layered the more they are onscreen. You did such a great job with this!

Really enjoyed playing this one! Felt really refined and polished, didn't run into any bugs or annoyances. Game design is great and the modifiers added some real challenges and difficulty spikes. Great job!!

Really enjoyed this one. Loved the overall look and vibe and the depth of the pixel art as an environmental background really worked for me! Gameplay loop simple and easy to pick up and understand. Gone Bad logo design is very, very good! And the music and sound design was great as well!

You did such a great job with this! The art is great both in-game and the menu/key art! Feels polished and smooth to control and play. Loved the find and retrieve mechanics and definitely made it stand out.

This was a blast!! The environment design is so, so good! Love the Mrs Ice Cream branding and design. Driving is tricky but in a challenging way. The little characters jumping around are great. Music is great too. Great fun great vibes!

Nice pixel art and straight-forward gameplay, picked it up super fast and had fun with it! Felt refined and didn't run into any major bugs - great job!

Great stuff, this felt really polished! Loved the feeling of chaining into combos. And everything is automatically better with a smiley face :)

You've done such a great job with this! Super polished and so much content. I echo the below comments that it's actually quite addictive and would work very well on the app store, or at least the same formula. The switch of pace between the different battles, minigames etc made it constantly feel really fresh. And the attention to detail was great - hover events, little animations here and there, nice sound effects - really, really impressive!

The art is amazing!!! Great job. Love the detail with the ice cream visually melting as well.

Really liked this one! The art of each of the stations and the character were really good and I liked the added detail of the character's face texture changing. Simple and easy to follow and didn't run into any major bugs or performance issues. :)

You've clearly put a lot of effort and thought into this in such a short of amount of time. There's some nice depth with what you've implemented. Really love the direction and ambition. Visually looked good and felt intuitive. Nice job :)

Love how you made this as a team of college students, you did a great job. Loved the little robot dances. Nice attention to detail with the spatial sound coming from the radio. Also the only game I have played with the ability to make ice cream in fish and salami flavours haha :)

Great job, felt nice and responsive throughout . The fire effects and graphics were very good. Liked how fast-paced it felt. Having the time and ability to implement shooting and parrying definitely elevated the gameplay experience too :) And being taunted on the death screen...

Definitely solid foundations if you're keen on progressing with it post-jam :) I like how you can just launch the ice cream at the customer upon completion!! Going to each stand to build the ice cream linearly was nice design and simple to follow.

This was so, so good! Love the environment design and the amount of detail you added. Even small details like the camera zooming out slightly when near taller objects. Love how much worldbuilding and personality you managed to convey too, through a combination of the writing, the environment and even the way some of the workers move like they're panicking.

Thank you so much for playing :)

Wow, this is next level!! Definitely my favourite that I've played so far.

The art for the opening cutscene was so, so good. Thinking I was in for a nice cosy visual novel. Then I'm met with super smooth 2D adventure mechanics with an awesome sprite trail and environment design. Walk around a bit and then - *environment changes* - was very unexpected and felt really good. LOVE the sound throughout but the theme in the "nice(?)" environment was my favourite. The boss design was incredible, and loved how the music got more intense as it got closer to you.

Amazing job everyone involved!!

Visuals were great! Simple enough gameplay and easy to pick up. My mouse sensitivity was extreeeeemely high for some reason haha but might just be me. Ice cream machine model is awesome!

Agree with the comment about the loading screen - great first impression and added some personality to the game. Simple and straight forward controls, nicely implemented :) Great job with the piano track!

Absolutely loved this! Impressed at how many minigames and features you managed to implement. Took a few attempts to figure out the minigame for each scoop but felt great when I got the hang of it.

(1 edit)

Wasn't able to launch on my main PC for some reason (which is pretty powerful, but fairly old). See below...

But I managed to launch it on my laptop and it ran great! Agree with the comment below - Art is really, really good! Really nice overall.

Simple to play with some nice artwork! Kitchen could do with a makeover with all the machine malfunctions! XD

Beat all the levels! Great game design, loved how you introduced new mechanics and actually designed the level around them, like Level 4 for example where you can't just run through all the water. Some cool art too - love the main menu design!

Music slaps hard! Tripped out, felt intense and stressed, 10/10 experience.

Really love your writing style! Enjoyed the gameplay too - despite being warned, I picked the ice cream first and lost as I was swarmed too quickly! XD
