Thanks for sharing the fog engine mod! This got me motivated to restart SH2 20th anniversary. I used emuhawk to rip the backgrounds and sprites from all 6 builds and have assembled up to alt brookhaven so far, I gotta say this game looks really dope with the flashlight on.
Loving your progress on silent hill too the sewers are fucking great!
Thanks I haven't researched the pallets yet. The map needs lots of work and is only a section of old silent hill and shopping district, but then comes the problem of connecting south park and the choice of using SH3 lakeside amusement park map [which is more complete with rides] or the original or combine both, that also goes for the story wasn't sure if I want to try incorporating Shattered Memories, SH, and SH play novel into a massive multi-ending game with unlockable scenarios and characters.
The rebirth ending triggers if you collect the obsidian goblet, white chrism and read the book of lost memories and book of the crimson ceremony. To avoid that ending just skip collecting those items.

I have tried to make the first game a few times, in a prototype version of game boy born from a wish if you beat the game and started another there was a door in heavens night that opened to a warp room with an air screamer hanging out over a door leading to silent hill 1 prototype...
I guess I should sit down and play all the copies so I can make a doc on unique features.
The earlier copies have the original refridgeration room in the alt hospital, also has a vulgar bowling scene and lacks the warp room.
Then 11-5-21 has bugs but nothing gamebreaking , but the bug with the videotape room and other bizzare bugs, once you reach an ending it will just return to the titlescreen.
The December builds have the most graphical polish and some extra maria scenes but has game bugs that require game save swapping between the 2 roms to finish.
I wonder if I could write a rom patch to fix the final build elevator...
