It won't download v016.9 on Android

Since the recent update today, I get an error message about a minimum screen size being supported and it won't let me play. I've been playing for a while now, including yesterday. 

How do you get the cat to give up the shoe? None of the "food" I've found exploring entices the cat. But, Celica keeps saying to "find food."

I've played through a couple of times. I start by hiding somewhere other than the corner, then when it asks if you want to move, stay, or leave, go hide in the corner. That's always worked for me.

When exploring in the mountains, it will say Raven encounters a child chasing an opossum and something about going to the peak. Is this foreshadowing? Is there another part of the story? If so, does anyone know how to unlock it?
