Sadly we can't define any mechanics for Artificer as it is not covered by the SRD. However, the closest thing the books possess is the Kinksmith in Advanced Kinks & Cantrips which mentions to use the Wizard spell list.

Hello everyone! I am elated to announce we have opened the Prelaunch page for our next two Kinks & Cantrips books: Adventures in Subspace and Curious Explorer's Compendium

With this book Kinks & Cantrips is taking to the stars! We'll be visiting the Vast Unknown and discovering what form kink takes among its civilizations. Like the previous 2 books this iteration will have new classes (2), subclasses (39, at least 2 for each base class), spells, magic items, monsters, encounters, general rule systems (such as module mechs and spaceships), campaign setting, and more. In fact, this is already the biggest K&C book yet and I'm still finalizing the draft! I have to say, it's been an utter delight being able to design for this genre with such a rich history of kinky activities.

Accompanying Adventures in Subspace is the Curious Explorer's Compendium which takes all of the material that was possible to make SFW and collects it into a single volume, ready to play at tables where kink does not take center stage. Each book will have hardcovers available (in addition to the previous books) and we'll have Limited Editions for all 4 books available which once they're gone, they're gone. Just to wet the whistle, here's what those all look like (the design isn't final so might still change a bit, these are just mockups with the final artwork):

The Curious Explorer's Compendium is notably innocuous but chock full of little details that those in the know will recognize, such as a triskelion in the cathedral's big stained glass window and the flags being the Leather Pride colors.

We're hoping to launch sometime this summer but I'll post a more firm date as we approach it. if you're interested, please be sure to give the Prelaunch page a follow. It really helps us get eyes on the project as well as accomplish our goal of celebration and education.

The good folks at Elderbrain Academy reached out to us about spreading awareness of their own coming project, Spawns of the Mindrender and in turn helping us spread awareness f Adventures in Subspace. It's rare people are willing to be open with out material so I very much appreciate the opportunity. I'll let them describe the book in detail:

Spawns of the Mindrender is a massive, 600-page D&D 2014 and 2024 5e-compatible dark fantasy adventure and campaign setting for levels 11-15 with player options set in the perilous mountain realm of Vordan. This story-driven module blends survival, exploration, and tactical warfare in a hazardous sandbox environment, weaving a complex plot with multiple branching threads that intricately connect and gradually unveil the grand narrative of a realm unraveling into madness. Spawns of the Mindrender introduces fresh mechanics, including special rules to simulate the chaos of a battlefield. Players will navigate treacherous peaks, ancient giant ruins, and shifting clan alliances as they uncover the secrets of the Farrealm and face a reality-warping threat. Whether seeking to unite a fractured nation, claim ancient artifacts, or save the world from total psychic collapse, Spawns of the Mindrender delivers an engaging experience for adventurers of all kinds. Followers of the campaign before it launches will receive the following rewards:  An encounter location in PDF format after the campaign starts, based on weekly follower voting. Each follower milestone unlocks new content to vote on: first the dungeon, then the main NPC, a featured magic item, the boss monster, and finally a brand-new subclass. The more followers join, the more choices open! Four extra copies of the printed custom character sheet that evolves as the follower count grows (for physical backers only). We will announce the results during the Live Launch Party and cheer on the final outcome of this community-crafted encounter location together with our followers.

It's mostly data unfortunately. The dark mode has the image texture baked into the background, exactly as we do for printing, so it ends up simply being more data value per pixel (as it's CMYK, the K of Black is higher in the dark mode). We do put them out at the same compression as each other, but the darkness comes with a cost unfortunately.

Indeed it is. It's a full sequel with all new content. The only duplication is about 2 pages of core rules for the Sensation system, but otherwise it's all new classes, feats, spells, magic items, adventures, and so on.

Hey there! Pain and Pleasure don't operate on a table system like Humiliation does. Instead they rely on other effects to utilize them and punish the character for failing a saving throw when exceeding their maximum.

I love these! Super good eye paying attention to penalties when grappling, that's a common hangup in K&C material I have to account for.

I have had a few readers tell me they were working on just this, but unfortunately have no links to any that were actually completed.

Very interesting question. From my perspective (author), I tend to push for something fairly Sunstone adjacent as my guiding star. I find Stjepan Sejic provides heartfelt characters with whimsy and real stakes all blended together in a way that I try to bring to my kink related material. But the book also strives for epic fantasy fun in line with D&D's traditions, so throw in a healthy dose of that as well.

Really, it's a vehicle for you to tell your stories in whatever vibe resonates with you. Be that grimdark, erotically silly, or anything in between.

For playthroughs, I'm not personally aware of any, though would love for people to link me to any that might exist.

There definitely will be physical versions available. We're working on a webstore to handle hardcover sales for both books. We'll be posting something as we get closer to opening that up in the new year.

We're still working on physical sales, but wanted to let you know since a number of people had asked about the PDF being available.

Hopefully soon :( Getting the fulfillment copies to Europe has been super problematic, but once that's done we'll have a better idea of stock and be able to open sales. Be sure I'll be posting an update here as we figure out a date for that.

We haven't opened sales for the Advanced AK&C book. We're still going through fulfillment of the physical copies so want to be sure to finish that up first before we open ongoing sales. I'll be posting here and on the Kickstarter when that changes.

This is a definite grey area that depends a bit on the GM. I would say yes for my tables since the trait increases your "touch" range by extending the arm (where whips wouldn't as they are a weapon and thus can't deliver Touch spells), but you mileage may vary depending on GM fiat.

It definitely will! We're waiting for it to go live once the Kickstarter fulfillment is all finished up, so hopefully sometime in the next month or so.

As part of the process for our Advanced Kinks & Cantrips Kickstarter, we revised the first K&C book to be in more in line with the second and fix some issues that it had. This revision is now available to download for everyone who has purchased the book, free of charge.

Most of the mechanical things are intact for this revision, but the layout was improved, actions for applying Pain & Pleasure have been added, and a few other small Quality of Life things as well. Thank you all for making this all possible!

Excellent question! Originally the scope of P&P was for specific effects to add or utilize them, with each representing more than just momentary pain or damage but rather the intrinsic kink-based sensation related to them. However, based on feedback, we added rules in book 2 to make generic actions for each. In short it's "a creature can as an action add either 1 Pain or Pleasure to themselves or another willing creature within 5 feet of them." Anything beyond there is reliant on what items or kink implements are being utilized.

So we get this question a fair amount and the short answer is we're trying to yes. I have a graphic designer friend who said they would do it for me, but it's basically the last thing on the to-do list since we need to get the slow wheels of printing and fulfillment going for the current books. It would be a digital only thing everyone would get, so people can print it out at home, and we're hoping to deliver that around the same time as the SFW PDFs.

I've had a PF2e adaptation on my "to-do" list for a while. It's really only me working on these books from a writing perspective so what actually gets made next largely depends on feedback. This time AK&C won, but PF2E is a possibility for sure after this wraps.
