thanks for playing!

thank you for playing!

Thanks for playing! Glad you had fun.

Hey, this is one of the devs! Thanks your for reply, we appreciate it!

I apologize you didn't have the greatest time with the game and I do understand that it was designed very roughly and weirdly. However, I do appreciate your criticisms and feedback, as it will inform us to know what we can do for our next games to make them much better!

Admittedly, we made quite a few mistakes during development, mainly in that we didn't take the time to understand the tools we were using and we didn't engage in enough careful planning or constructing. I should mention that we were dealing with serious external pressures that were impacting development and we did get pretty impatient after a while

I'm not trying to excuse anything, as your criticisms are valid and we understand them. We learned valuable lessons from developing this game, mainly the importance of taking the time to understand and learn the tools being used to make the game, the importance of careful planning and execution of concepts and ideas, and the importance of generally just being patient and taking things slow and steady

Thank you for playing!

So a friend and I did a few tests on that section you are talking about.

We were able to get on top of it.

My friend said "You have to hold the jump button basically while right against [the column]"

Can you give it a try again?

If that doesn't work, can you let me know some details:

  • Your computer's operating system?
  • How much RAM your computer has?
  • If you have trouble reaching any columns of that height outside the tutorial?

This way, we can see if we need to optimize this game better for certain machines.

Thank you for playing!

I'll check to see what's going on with the tutorial.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for playing!

we're definitely considering to expand on this! Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the feedback!

There actually is an indicator in the download version, but for some reason it's not visible in the web version. We should have made it so it was visible in the web version too, admittedly. I guess for the game jam, it does add to the chaos though! If we expand this to a full game, we will make sure that indicator is visible in all versions!

i appreciate it! glad you enjoyed it!

Nice game. It seems like it will be a very neat game to relax to.

Only criticism I have so far is that there is a prompt to press F to talk when you are in front of a white gopher(?) but pressing F didn't do anything when I pressed it.

Keep it up!

Thanks for playing! It's my (lead designer's) first time designing for accessibility, so glad it's able to spark some ideas in others.

Thanks for the feedback! It would certainly be interesting to see how this is implemented in 3D!

The intent of this game is that you should be able to complete it even if you are blind.

Highest combo I got was "Absolutely Barbaric!" I don't remember what the number was though.

I didn't make it to the Minotaur or the Forlorn Caves yet. I'll try it again later and let you know if I do get there!

Very fun game with nice visuals and music! Only problem I can think of is that the tutorial says you can attack using the left mouse button, but when I clicked the left mouse button, it did nothing! Pressing Space to attack works though! The game is very tough and you can die easy if you're not careful.

Favorite moment: when you get a combo so high that you see the words "Absolutely barbaric!" show up on the screen. This is clever because Absolutely Barbaric is the title of the game.
