Thats actually so sick ngl dude!! I am curious tho how long would THAT also be open if there is a limit to it? 💀 I kinda KNOW I wont be able to finish it by the jam time so I'm probably gonna double down on that and try to make it as best as it could be. Like I wanna take extra time on it to add polish and make the game longer and the story and secrets better. My goal is to have it out before the end of october but its really gonna vary like I hope its around then but for all ik itll take more or less time. 😭 I'd still wanna post it in the topic tho if I can cuz to me this game is still being made for this jam even if its not within its like actual jam time yk?

its fine I get it. Still kinda sucks but I probably could work around it realistically. my main issues are I keep having new ideas, when I make stuff I put like WAY too much time in (which yk takes away time and also might make the lower quality stuff look way worse in comparison), and I was lowkey bumming about for the first week. If I try to limit my scope more tho I should maybe be fine.

If enough people want/need it can we have the time extended? I got a family trip coming up I didn't know about when starting and everything is taking so much longer than I imagined and it's making me worried I won't be finished on time 💔

ppl do it often and no hate to them but I think its like super dumb to me cuz it kinda completely defeats the point of a game jam. Like not only are they most likely not made within the time but they probably have nothing to do with the theme and I feel like every game jam game should be for one specific jam. honestly to me it just feels like cheating. once again no hate to anyone tho I actually havent even looked at this jam's submissions yet but im just saying that as like a broad statement for how I feel about jamming as a whole.

Thanks for the offer but I'm good. I wanna do this completely alone and lowkey a big part of this will be making all the music myself and trying to push myself forward musically. I will say tho I looked up your user on soundcloud and I actually do really like your stuff tho! Like it sounds really good for what you're going for ngl.
