Hi everyone! I am currently developing a video game as part of a Games Capstone course at UW. This is our second release, and we're hoping to gather some analytics on user experience so we can continue improving the game!

In this game, you'll need to navigate through a maze forest, narrowly avoiding wolves and stalkers while trying to guide your little sibling home safely.

Any engagement would be greatly appreciated, as we need to gather user data to inform future development. Thanks!

Play the Game here: https://state0fflux.itch.io/escape-the-forest

I'm yall's #1 fan, this game is so cool congrats

Thank you!!

No need to apologize!! I didn't mean it like that, sorry if my comments were critical haha. You did a great job :)

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :)

Cute game, I like that you worked in a storyline & I'm intrigued to learn more as to why Furny got caught up in Gobbo's shenanigans, LOL!

Difficulty is pretty hard, I definitely think the checkpoints could have a larger range, also I made it like half way and then wanted to pause and I accidentally took myself back to the start screen T_T

Also small feature but I really liked using the Gobbo silhouette as the scene transition. I will probably give this game another shot cause I'm curious to learn more about the mayor's fleshpit 😏

Good work! I liked how most of it was a choose-your-own-adventure, but there were segments of mini-games (e.g. the collecting truffles mini-game). I only wish there were more of these mini-games!

How did you achieve the clay look for your models (I'm assuming they're 3D models?)

Sorry for all the questions, just super interested. I've only done a bit of 3D work and have yet to figure out how to produce stylized models. Mine always look super primitive.

I wish I could play this game, but alas I am on mac </3

The artstyle looks amazing though! They look almost like clay, I love it. Did you make these models yourself?

Hey, thanks for the comment! It was a bit of a mixture; core assets like Gobbo, Furny, & the tools I drew from scratch, while others (such as the elves) I took a base sprite sheet for inspiration, then modified significantly to get what I needed.  Most of them I got online, and recolored to fit into the style of my game :)

YAYYY thanks miranda 🔥🔥🔥

This is pretty cool! Creative concept, I like it
