Ah this is great!! Love it when a visual novel breaks the boundaries (literally). Oh Royal... Maybe someday you can catch a break

Hey! No worries, this issue has come up more often than you'd think haha. The step by step is this:

  1. Talk to Travis and have him follow you.
  2. Walk with him to the left and then all the way up. Turn right at the end there.
  3. There should be a patch on the ground with "rabbit droppings" (or scattered grey dots)
  4. Interacting with this should prompt the option to set the trap.

To actually catch the rabbit you need to do the extra step of walking back towards the cabin and triggering it to run off. Nat should have a different dialogue here now that hints at succesfully having caught the rabbit. You can retrieve it for Mari when you go back to the trap area.

Thanks!! I followed that, but the vbox was actually causing an issue with the "click" imagemap area of the screen being unclickable (so the timer would run without a way to jump out of it and always go to timeout). Solved it by removing the vbox and doing "use timed_choice_visual(adjusted_time)" with a copy of the same screen that instead has a yalign added to it. That way it appears on a fixed spot but doesn't seem to block input for the point n click.

Putting that here in case someone runs in the same issue.

Hi! First of all, thanks so much for this because it has been a lifesaver in adding some tension to a WIP of mine.

I got a question if you know if/how this could be applied to a point-n-click section? I've looked at ways to tweak it in either the game script where a screen is called, or within the screen itself, but neither seem to work
Not anything big, I was just curious about the possibility

Hey! Thank you so much! It was a lot of fun to work on, so I'm definitely sticking to this vibe as long as I can haha.

And I am! It's going through a redesign (again) that should hopefully make the end result more interesting than what I had initially planned. Tricky thing is that I still have to write most of it, so can't say exactly when it'll be up. Not abandoned though!

Hiya! You don't technically "need" the second card to get a more positive ending, but it would make it easier. Climb the rope after the logs by pressing the up button to get on the platform, and do a jump from there to get it. Five cards will get you a bonus life, but if you can make it through without dying at all, you'll get yourother ending, guaranteed.

From the tree you mean? It's tricky but doable! Secret is a dash from the top of the tree and jump at the end. You gotta time it right, but that should do it

Ayy forgot to get back to ya on the guide, but it's posted now as a file! The secret ending section specifically is near the end ;)
