This just came to me during development, so I feel I should ask. The rules state that all work must be done during the jam period, I fully understand this. The idea I had, however, would be an indirect continuation of last year's jam submission if followed through. Assuming all programming, design and asset work is done from the ground up as per the rules, is a story continuation allowed under this clause?
Hi, I had a small question about the jam rules. So I understand that assets must be either your own work, or you must have a license to use them - this is no problem for me. I wanted to ask if this extends to names and character designs too. Plenty of Vinesauce memes - one being Scoot, to give a clear example - are copyrighted in some way; are we allowed to include these? Also, are we allowed to use voice clips from Vinesauce himself, or do those also fall under copyright? Thanks in advance, I just want to make sure what I'm planning out is safe to go with.
