Yay, I'm glad there wasn't a bad ending to following the mermaid! The different endings are each so unique as well as the backgrounds which adds a lot to the atmosphere. These two places, land or sea, both have their own specialities and good/bad endings which is so cool

This game is really comforting because of the art style. It's simple, yet I am pleasantly delighted to see the end product...it looks really tasty

The dialogue is so cool, and the pixelated graphics add a lot. The plot itself is also really engaging, it was like reading a detective novel!

These poems genuinely seem real, each one generated feels right. My favorite one is "a boy dressed in blue, falling in love with the screen, in order to smile" all the lines of text seem to fit together, maybe this is just the brain filling in the blanks, but its all so coherent. Amazing work

This game feels complete,  from the clickable buttons to the different endings. I would play this in its full if you had released it. The complexity of the narrative and items to acquire is impressive

I liked the narrator, what a friendly individual, even as I walk into my own doom. It's always nice to have external commentary on adventuring games. It's impressive how once I grabbed the key, I could go back to the door and have it unlock

Ah, I see what you meant about there being no win....I kept mistaking l for i so i kept circling around, even by reaching the village. I like the idea of aimlessness before the variable (you) is called into action (game start)...this too is just like coding

Loading screen was so cool, even though there probably isn't a reason it still adds a lot. Feels more like a console game. I randomly clicked on a name and got surprised when I caught the liar

Your description is so good, that's right, the most chaos begins when there is a calmness before.  The uneasy vibe as the gamer knowing that there is an apocalypse ongoing yet forced to put the player through the mundane routine is definitely a strange feeling that works

The sound and alarms at the end is a nice touch! I immediately tried to escape. I really like how you lead us through the intro with the letters before you give us a choice.

I just followed my life choices and I'm pretty sure I failed at life. Your game is so accurate....I can live the life I'm not living by pretending to be a good student

I really liked the path of your memory it took us down, the level of involvement I automatically felt with each choice really added to the feeling of nostalgia, especially when the game automatically restarted, essentially snapping me back to the present. All of these moments are the best moment of your life, all feeling really personal. I feel like you just told me a story about your life in person and I'm not just playing a game

The aesthetic of the game is so fresh and vibrant! Something about the vibe is just really cute. Maybe it's the font. I love the simulator template (White overlay + text) in general, great work!

The scrolling text is so cool, at first I thought it was cut off, but I was shocked when I realized I could move it. The story itself is so intriguing too, I can't for the next patch!

The fact that the book is  a 3D asset is so impressive. I'm not sure if I'm missing out on any animations (open/close). I also did not realize there was a timer, I thought the game was over so I pressed space.....I will play this again!

I figured out I had to wait because of the comments, maybe you can add clarification in the desc ? I immediately started pressing space, which meant the baby kept sleeping. I also didn't realize I could play it in the browser, and I thought after I exited the game the sounds would start. To my terror, it kept playing (my computer is currently muted) and they were reverbing against each other while I had the .exe file open. It's even playing as I type here....

This is genuinely impressive; even though it was 3D and lagged in my browser, I can feel the love and soul put into this game in the dialogue I could see. These are also things I struggle with on a daily basis, so it's nice to see you take them and make them into something tangible.

I got too trigger happy when the Wild West motif played and lost :'( I love the reference to that classic scene! The dialogue flow was so good, and the sprites were so cute. I like the pixel designs of everything.

Very cool! I like how I could fill things out for my OC, this is genuinely a very helpful tool. The music adds another layer of mystery; as for the text, bolding the text against the paper/changing green color bg (maybe text white) could help with reading!

Ahaha I like how all the letters look like theyre capitalized in the site design. I was excited for this game, and I had as much fun as I thought I would. I really like how I have to figure out what letters to press to possess people, though i died at the second round because I couldn't identify the letter :')

I really like the sound, it makes me feel a bit disoriented, which is perfect. The ambient red light and the images make it feel so real, I would have loved to see what was on the computer/shelves!

(1 edit)

The classic red text with black background automatically makes my senses go on alert. The general color theme including red  within the game. However, I wasn't able to read after I woke up due to a timer(?) and there's no way to replay the game after that, at least that I can see. I'm going to try again a few times to see if I can bypass it, but I like the things I read! Maybe make the text bigger?
