Simple gameplay loop, but I continuously ignored the landlord to make up the cash.  Perhaps some kind of jumpscare for ignoring your landlord would do the trick.

Liked this one alot, remided me of PVZ, but of course with a spin on the formula!  Nice work!

I unfortunately blew up the earth though

Quite fun, very well put together.  My only critique is that it was running at like 5fps on my pc, but that very well could be that I just have a crappy pc.  Nicely done!

This one was solid, I just wish there was a bit more variety in enemy types.

Like the asthetic.  A bit Difficult for me but a solid experience.  Nice work!

This was a neat game to play!  I liked the wheel customization options, my only critique was that there was no definite ending.  But, it's the journey that counts!  Very nice!

Scared the pants off of me, geez.  Really great interpretation of the theme, very VERY well put together!

Very nicely done!  My only critique is that it might be fun to have different backgrounds, maybe something going on, but gameplaywise this is quite a fun game!

Loved the puzzles, solved all of them.  Was an excellent interpretation of the theme, plus it was educational without feeling like an educational game (which is a HUGE task this game performed excellently!)

Enjoyed this one!  Was simple but very effective, I only wish the boost lasted a little longer.  Nice job!

Awesome!  I loved those games, glad to see they placed!

This is a very well-put together!  Sometimes I would just be pressing movement keys and whenever the notes would come up they would disappear because of my buttonmashing.  Also the seriousness of the ending really threw me offguard lol.  Nice work!

This game was really fun!  Only critique is that there are no sfx for smashing beyblades together, but the music more than makes up for that!  Very nice job!

This is a well-made game, i usually don't enjoy turn-based combat but this one I liked alot!  The slots were well implemented, and I liked being able to choose your pathway, and decide which attack to use based on what you got in the slots.  Great work!

I can't find the game, is it a download?

It's a neat game, my only critiques are that the music cut out after a bit, and that its a little easy to find the strat (switch high low and punch with blue.  Other than that, solid experience!

The concept is nice, I like a good sidescroll beat-em-up.  Nice work!

I absolutely loved this game, it was incredible!!  I genuinely had the kind of anxiety you'd get from playing fnaf!  My only critique is I wish there were more levels/harder difficulties, or maybe different office workers with different patrolling habits and jumpscares.  After the gamejam I would come back and play this if it were updated with more stuff!

Edit: also I loved the "HEY!" sfx, it was perfect

Game was confusing at first, I didn't realize wasd was moving me until I saw my relative motion to the other tops.  The concept does go hard though, electric fire sword Beyblade battles  are the most serious, B.A. thing anyone can think of

Was fun figuring out the first level, the 2nd and 3rd made my brain hurt a little lol.  Nice Job, only critique is that when I stand on the gear parts and turn them, the player doesn't move with them, they slide out underneath me.  Other than that, solid game!

Very nice, I didn't expect the novel to be about mental health but it's important to talk about and was well executed.  I went back to get the good ending after fubaring Tal's mental health the first time

Intro was great, Once I knew there was more than one ending I had to replay it, i managed to get endings 1, 4, and 5.  Solid gameplay, great use of twisting the environment to figure out what platforms need to sync to get to the serious briefcases/silly burgers (but clearly, I went for the briefcases since I am serious)

REALLY good!  That last level took some time, it was hard but in a good way!  I like how you used the time mechanic of the life cycle to force the player to figure out which parts of the level to solve first, really great game!

I mean this 100% as a complement, this had the vibes of an early 2010s coolmath ragequit game, and I'm all for it!  I liked at the end I thought I was just gonna get mauled but it was actually a party, that was funny.  Good job!

Game was fun!  Only critiques are no music, HUD and sfx left a bit to be desired.  But the game itself was quite fun once I got the hang of it.  I liked the ps1-esque esthetic.  Great job!

I like this one!  Only critiques are that there's no music, and sometimes when im spam-clicking to attack, the level up window pops up and i accidentally pick a perk before i realize it.  That's really it for the negatives, great job!

That's a great opportunity  (If im not too late in the queue)!  Thank you!

Also thx, I made the music myself, its on spotify!

Yeah lol I poured water on my pc a few days into the jam and had to restart from scratch unfortunately.  But, thank goodness for the patch window!

I poured soda on my computer, I'm now starting from scratch on my backup :(

This is a very serious issue.

I like how simple it is, I get lost easily when playing the more popular submissions.  I like the formula you have going here.  Plus, it teaches hands-on experience getting loans and paying them back, plus the benefits of getting a loan to start, then paying it off later.  Great Job!

  1. What did you learn about financial literacy?

Honestly not much, but I used some of the Schoolhouse Rock songs to inspire 'Cash Cow', which teaches budgeting, specifically their song "$7.50 once a week".  But other than that It was just hard coming up with how to implement the ideas in the time frame that I had.

2. How did you apply what you learned to your game?

I decided to teach by having characters represent budgeting Ideas, like a snake of guys called "Mr. Conveniences" that chasees the player around, representing the lazy tax people pay when they don't want to look around for a better deal.

3. What challenges did you face in making it work?

I only learned about the jam 5 days before the deadline so mostly it was just getting it to work on time, especially considering I put in an online multiplayer mode.  I think it was worth it, but there are definitely quite a few bugs and quality of life things I would fix if It were to ever go anywhere.

The experience was certainly interesting, It felt very surreal playing.

Personally the questions were a bit difficult but it's a solid game.  Also, the click sfx you used was immensely satisfying, I couldn't stop clicking the coins lol

Very good clicker.  Well made

FINALLY submitted my game:  CASH COW!
Both Singleplayer and online multiplayer:  Cash Cow by squidchip

I literally started like 2 days ago but here's a screenshot of my game:  Cash Cow.
It's a game where you shoot your money at bubbles to pop them, and manage your budget to buy Power-ups that grant more money in the forms of stocks, bonds, CDs, and Loans.  It's also online multiplayer.

Is an online multiplayer mode for our game allowed, so long as there is no in-game chat and it follows all other rules?  Also, do we legally own what we submit if it is posted to Coolmathgames?

This game is actually annoying in the most entertaining way possible and I love it
