There seem to be numerous implications in the characters' names and other elements of the game, some of which we are prohibited from discussing more deeply in these forums. Damon alliterates with "demon" (signifying the early impression he makes as a ruthless assassin). To vex means to annoy (suggesting that Vexx can be a pain in the backside, first as an infiltrator and then with his broken mind, not counting his genuine mischievous personality). Bash had been bashing his opponents in the arena before he was rescued and recruited onto A6 while he’s everything but bashful. I will leave to your imagination whose character Zovack might picture from an alternative point of view, based on his first name and appearance. Let's not talk about the symbol of the K'Merii, as I daresay this wasn't the wisest choice. The game world looks carefully thought out, so there are likely many more double entendres to be found than I can possibly list.
I was delighted to see so much happen in chapter 9 even though I didn't get to unlock a new CG featuring my love interest. A good story is progressed not only by action but also the characters' emotional development, both of which are abundant in this new episode. It took me two long evenings to play along just one route of the new content, as opposed to several games that offer 5-10 minutes' gameplay with each update. And what a cliffhanger!
The art style of A6 mainly targets my heart, thus making me feel attached in the long term, whereas more detailed graphics would rather stimulate my lower parts, which would only benefit the moment. I can't get enough of Vexx's mischievous smile. Am I sick that I even adore him when his mind snaps?
While I agree that a year's time would feel more realistic, especially that plotting against a tyrant may reasonably take as long, the story would either have to be significantly diluted to match the longer timespan or take twelve times as long to write as it does now. One thing I love about this game is that it's actually going to be finished, unlike numerous visual novels out there. I play Vexx's route, with whom the MC has a long backstory, so all they have to do in this one month is pick up where they left off and confess all their previously unspoken feelings, which makes the whole thing more believable.
My inner selfish self keeps telling me to choose monarchy. I would really love to make Vexx my prince and the belle of the ball. However, common sense dictates that peace and alliance requires genuine trust. Cursans have already lost their trust in the crown, with Orion following close behind. Enforcing authority over Cursa or even Orion would only deepen hostility and would further divide these societies, which means more destruction and decay as well as subsequent rebellions and coups. I agree with Damon that Cursa can't recover without continued support from Goldis, but aiding and funding the growth of a friendly society doesn't require supreme power. Instead, it can be arranged via bilateral agreements and charity.
If I had a third choice, I would let all planets decide whether they want idependence or to stay part of the empire instead of forthwith abolishing the throne. Regardless, I would prefer to sustain a constitutional monarchy with an executive monarch on Goldis. Even if all four surviving subordinate planets achieve independence, I think only Tilaarin is ready for democracy and a form of republic. Alicia and Zane will definitely need to rule Cursa as monarchs, but once married, they should have equal powers with joint and several liability, unlike in traditional kingdoms where the monarch outrules their spouse; otherwise, they can't keep the Crimson Dusk and the Azure Dawn together.
Then again, abolishing the throne may be necessary to clear the Peg'asi name and regain their credibility; after all, the coup happened for a reason. Its mere promise can help gain support against Zovack. Out of the two choices provided, I will definitely proceed with ending the empire.
Would you mind clarifying in your article that this update is only available to Unsatiable Wizards? You are currently using the term "supporters" which in fact stands for the lowest tier on your Patreon page. The former means €21.50 per month and the latter means €2.50 per month. That's a huge difference, and someone might get the wrong idea!
I have tried Leon's route and a mixed route of Chad and Dickson (I can't really isolate their routes at such an early stage of the story).
I possess the PC version of this game (1.0.0), which I run on Windows 10.
Below you can check the second last and last frame that I can see before I am redirected to the main menu. Same applies to all routes that I have played.
