1:25 Speedrun epic

Good puzzle game, although it wasn't quite a lot of spinning to win. I enjoyed my time with it though :)

Wow, quite the game for a first-time Unity developer! It did obviously have a couple of bugs (naturally with jams games), but otherwise it was actually quite a fun experience, and I was surprised at the amount of mechanics there were. Also learning the movement was quite a nice experience. I ended up beating the whole thing, but I found that level 10 was noticeably harder than all the others as the timing felt a little random to actually succeed. Otherwise I quite enjoyed this. 5/5.

Grapple hooks are my jam. They're quite fun to implement!
And yeah, I got a couple Newton's First Law violation complaints from my friends as well when they played this game, the tight control scheme had to sacrifice the fun of momentum in the process, unfortunately. Thanks very much!

Very cool! Yeah, a lot of this game included a lot of bugs to unpack (moving platforms especially), so that ended up dragging down how much content I could make, but I'm glad you enjoyed it! Also yeah, my approach to the theme was not quite as intuitive or gameplay-oriented (i.e. spin webs to spin the gears of the clock tower to win), so I can see how it might be a bit unsatisfactory, but I enjoyed that spin (hehe) on it.
And you're very welcome! My mom deserves the credit indeed. (Your game was also very good)

Thank you very much! The physics were a very fun thing to implement and fine-tune, so I'm thankful they worked out so well! Also the vibes just felt natural with this idea from the get-go. Those were both of the things I tried hardest to pull off, so I'm super glad they worked out!

Thanks! I'm super glad you enjoyed the setting, it might be my favorite one I've done for a game so far. Also glad you caught the idea from the theme of the jam, as some others didn't get it quite as much.
And er, yeah, amid some unscrupulous bugs that arose during my time making the levels, I couldn't make them totally polished in the name of having a decent amount of them, so I get how they can be not as satisfactory as desired. Glad the physics were good though, as I spent a few days perfecting them.

Many Thanks! And yeah my mom had a legendary creative spark for this game indeed...

Thank you, fellow spider enjoyer. And yeah my sister is very pleased since she was the masterclass artist for this.

Why, Thank you so much for the supporting words! I mean, I didn't have all too many plans for the future of this game as of yet, but perhaps for fans like these I'll return to the project...

Thanks! I haven't played that game, but I did know about it and it was somewhat of an aesthetic inspiration. The spinning was more conceptual (as in, you spin webs to spin the gears of the clock to win) so I can see how that's not quite as up front.

Thanks! The swinging and moving block interactions were my favorite parts of the levels to make as well. The levels are all built around not necessarily having to scale walls, but I always left that in as some extra flexibility. Also my sister is responsible for that art, so she would be very pleased :)

He saw my level building assets, it's all over...
But in all seriousness, thanks a bunch! Yeah the platforming couldn't be all the way polished since I put most of my focus into the web mechanic, so I'm glad that part came out well!

Epic! Here's mine:

Surprisingly fun! Movement and attacking felt pretty good and the sound design was JUICY.

"Run Business" was probably my favorite gag and it wasn't even in the actual game. Good job hardcore cracking me up with that.
That was quite funny and a very creative spin (yes) on the theme! We should change stocks in real life to be this game.

Thanks! I really enjoyed putting in flavor features like that, and I'd recommend it as it really helps with the immersion of the game. Also  yeah I just noticed that, turns out I didn't need to add the itch setting for a fullscreen button as that just makes unnecessary complications, so I just fixed it. Thanks for letting me know.

I relate to that. They hurt even more after making it. Many thanks!

Thank you. Spiders are indeed quite versatile creatures...

Many thanks! The web mechanic was fun to balance and get down just right. Also this was my first time making music for a game jam, so I'm really glad you liked it!

Nice one! The concept was cool and very serious, and the execution felt quite polished and satisfying, if a bit laggy.

Really interesting take on the theme! It's like geoguesser but with the spinning mechanic to master as well. Well done! It's quite fun.

Quite a fun (I mean serious of course) use of the concept and theme of the game! I was hoping for a bit more directing of where you should go, such as signs in the air as hanging signs and whatnot telling you where not to go (especially at the beginning), but I made it to work nonetheless. The physics were really fun and I loved the sound design (especially the firing sound effect).

Very fun game. VERY crisp sound design dear me. There were some minor issues like it sometimes being difficult to place gears in spots, but overall a very clean and polished experience. Nice work!

I like it! Especially how many limited resources you're managing in your lives, coins, spins and whatnot. Although it does turn out that coins seem to be the most limited resource, which feels a little strange. All in all, a very good incarnation of the spin-to-gamble-to-win (a general rule of life) kind of game for this jam.

Cool (pun intended)! The idea is quite cool, and I enjoyed the sound design (especially of clicking the buttons). There is indeed quite a lot of text to read and understand and it can get quite convoluted, especially with it only being 2 rounds. Maybe having it start simpler and lay them on more over time would help. But nice job!

Spinout to winout is my new motto.
The racing game aesthetic is done well, with the sound design being a big help. Really liked the concept of this game, and could be really cool as a bigger release...

Many a thank! This was my first time making music for a game jam game and I'm glad it turned out well. It definitely helped in my trying to make the game more polished.
I chose a more conceptual direction to follow the theme with,  so it's a lot about the narrative of what's happening (i.e. you spin webs to spin the gears of a clock to win). But I can see how it may be less intuitive to some.

Thanks! Glad it could sit well with you.

Yeah... I feel I definitely could have made the platforming mechanics a bit more polished and that would have improved many things, but my main goal for the character was for it to work well with my other mechanics. Probably could have touched up on it.
Thank you so much though, that rating is a huge compliment. Developing the stuff can be quite difficult but it's words like this that make it all worth a lot more.

Thanks! My sister is a master at art, so  she deserves the credit for her incredible hard work on the looks. Glad the spider lands well, I was worried I'd have to make a content warning do to the presence of a spidre...

Many Thanks! Yeah the web mechanic was definitely meant to be usable for many purposes, and personally it being usable to do abnormal routes is always a fun design to keep in. Glad you liked it!
And yeah moving platforms were as always tough to implement, so some bugs slipped through with them. The second bug though,  that one got turned into a feature just for funsies :)

Quite fun! The game does a really good job teaching you the mechanics, and making sure you aren't confused. Like the previous commenters, once I got the hang of the strategy I had a great time trying to beat my opponent. A strong entry.

Very clean and polished feeling game! I'm not a roulette natural, so it was a bit difficult to tell what was causing me to gain money or lose, er, a whole lot more money; So that might be a skill issue on my part.
Feels really satisfying to play though, and that music is an absolute banger and really adds to the scene. Definitely really up there in game jam soundtracks.

I enjoyed the story! Although it doesn't seem to have a definitive end, it's a very interesting take on a clicker game.
Also yeah scope creep is so incredibly real man. Excellent job making all of this as a solo developer though, I know from experience that's quite tough.

I spat bars like no dog has barked before.

This is an excellent entry. I really like the strategy of the rhymes, even if it's not that hard to succeed after the first few lines (just like the real music industry). It has won in my books.

I acquired loop dogg status, but the game always crashed when I did. The game couldn't handle my majesty

Super fun unique playstyle. I love the physics and techniques of swinging quickly but precisely in circles with the grappling hook. Also an excellent choice of music to make you feel like an epic character soaring above the rooftops. I'm doing my part to bring this where Mark can see it.

Well I hoped I wasn't too loopy making this, so I guess I got around to the theme.
