I purchased your game and have not seen any updates, but I do see it is available on Steam.  Is there a Steam key coming?

In version 0.1.11, after talking with Lori, there are no choices.  Anyplace you click, other than the computer does not yield result.  Is this the end of the update?

IS THERE A DEMO AVAILABLE?

I see the game is now on Steam, congratulations!  Will those of us who have made a purchase be able to get a Steam key?

Is there a demo available?

You have probably already covered this question, but I have to ask.  Is there going to be a steam code for people who purchased the itch version?

I see it being advertised on Steam, but is there a demo?

I paid for this game (it actually says so in the heading), but I have no access to the latest download.

Thanks for the info.

I paid for this but cannot download this version.  I can only download 38.

All right guys, settle down.  Obviously, you both like the game, but while one of you is patient and understanding of the grind, the other wants quicker releases.  No one knows what the developer might be going through personally or financially, however, I am glad for the new release.  I stumbled upon it by accident.  That being siad, the best we can do is pat the developer on the back, or chip in to help fund it, because believe me, this is a pretty good visual novel, well written, and with good graphics, and the last thing we need is another good project abandoned because of irritating the developer while not providing financial support.  By the way, I did chip in.

I purchased this game but certain it is not showing up when the dev log offers the update.

I copied the save folder to another location, and then deleted the games from my computer and installed the update.  No problems and it allowed me to continue at the latest save point, so all is well.  Thanks for looking into it so quickly.  I also saw the show that inspired your game.  You have quite the imagination.

The game does not start, but immediately shows

I am getting an uncaught exception on startup with the new update

Cool!  I might check it out.  So about the actual game, is Heaven's Door in production to the point of downloads?  Is it going to be on Itch later?

my browser shuts it down.  I get a bunch of messages about apply exceptions, and even when I apply them, it still blocks me.

After viewing your comment, I changed browsers and it downloaded fine.  Thanks

I just wanted to say; you do nice work!  I am not through the novel yet, but your characters have a lot of depth, and even your side characters (like people passing on the street, the park, in stores, baristas, chauffeurs, librarians, and clerks) are gorgeous, and should be in some sort of extra content or a new project!  If there was an award for design and story, you'd be at the top!  Some developers don't do a lot of detail on the landscape, but you really took your time with this project!  I'll be looking forward to your other projects.  Good job and good luck!

I started checking it out and I like where it's heading.  It's a little more linear than my favorites, but the story is plausible and interesting, and the characters have some depth to them, so I'm going all in-at the sale price!

Thanks!  I'll give it a look

Anything of your previous works out there?  Maybe a game play video?

It certainly looks interesting,  Is there a demo avalable?  And would this include updates until completion?

Is there a demo of your work somewhere?  The concept sounds interesting, but if there is something out there showing what it all about and if you continue projects, it would be appreciated.

I have to ask, since there is no information on the game, but is there a demo of this game or some of your work available?

All righty then!  I liked the game, but I went through the updates and had to start over.  Usually, when I play a game with updates, I go straight to the load screen when I play games I am waiting for updates from, and all I was seeing was the "safe files from old versions of the game are not supported," warnings.  I was up to quest 22 and that just deflated me enough not to do any research, especially when there are so many updates.   I just opened a new game and saw what you mean.   Now I have a few questions:

  1. How many total quests do you expect past Quest 31 to be included in this cost?
  2. Will this purchase include updates to match the Steam release?
  3. If no to question 2, will there be a discount for people who pay for 0.35?
  4. Also, I bought this before, and my purchase price obviously did not cover new updates past .016.  Any discounts for previous purchases?

I actually got this game a while ago, and the updates do not allow save transfers, and it got a bit tedious having to redo all progress.  This new version seems to have similar inclinations.  I paid for it, but that was a while ago, and before this sale.  So before I even think about playing again, is the current version going to have its saves wiped out be new content?

This time, I did get your game!  Everything looked the same as the previous download, including the folder name, but an entirely different result.  The download (removed) with the line through the file was the download from yesterday.  The opening looks intense.  Let me check it out.

This is what I got.  I downloaded the media fire selection, but I will try a different one.

The download was MW-4.01 and ended up with this Mad Adventure game.  I have since gone back to your discord and all links send me to the actual game listed on itch with only pay options.  This game was not bad, but a very short sandbox with the hint guide showing only one option at a time.  The plot had the MC's parents missing and he went to live with his mom's so-so friend with a daughter and sister, being helped by a scientist who had white hair and spoke of supers.  Everyone female had tremendous asses and boobs.  Is that your game?

Okay, so I got to a certain point, and then credits rolled.  I also noticed the game was called Mad Adventure.  Is this an early version of Mad World?  Is the game complete?

Yeah, I got it and downloading now.  I will check it out in a couple of hours, and make a move towards your goal if I like it!

I agree, and there are some developers who are giving you choices at the beginning of the game to remove those aspects, or add them if you decide later.  I remember a game with an absolutely gorgeous woman who had a package bigger than the abnormally sized male MC.  I have seen the NTR option also selectable, though only a few developers think the MC might want to see his female interest involved with another person.  Female on female is a bit more accepted, but I have seen that removable as well.  Some developers allow you to choose the relationships, and in this way the incest angle is sometimes avoided when they make the male MC a roommate or stepson, but trying to make the universe smaller (i.e., confined to a smaller environment) the home with corruption and seduction makes things a bit easier, if not believable.  I download a lot of in progress stuff and I buy in during sales.  But if I could point you in the right direction, one of my all-time favorite VNs is "Being A DIK" available on Steam.  College Kings is also a good vanilla.  It has everything you seem to want.  For the ones I mentioned, there are no voices, but the scenes, writing, renders, and mini-games are enjoyable, and you can omit the mini-games if you like.

I agree some tags cause problems when developers want as many people as possible to view their work, but don't put enough effort into the story to remove undesirable content, but on itch, you might perform a search with the harem tag when you select your browse desires.  Those games seem to have less of the stuff you don't like, but you could still run into some doosies, though the cover art should let you know if the harem is the MC's family.  On Itch, Maids and maidens, Prince of Suburbia, Ripples, and Eternum might be to your liking, but with very few choices, just good stories and decent animations.  Young Again actually isn't bad though, as the MC is disembodied, so if you can warp your thinking enough to wrap your head around his relationships on the border, you might not see them as perverse.  It is probably one of the better ways around direct incest I have ever seen imagined.  Kudos to Zargon_games for the originality.  As I run into some in the future, if you give me your info or shoot me a message, I will let you know.  I've check out quite a few good ones in the making, but they are incomplete, but the ones named are the top of my head goodies in your desired content.

I have not been able to link to your official discord

I would like to see what the story is about, the choices, things of that type honestly.  All VNs have nudes and scenes, but how they tell the story is what sets the writers apart.  Sometimes you have a phone that gives you relationship information, progress, and other hints.  Sometimes you just mash away at the space bar and have no choices other than inside or outside, if even that.  So I want to know how interactive the game is.  A demo usually supplies those mechanics.

Is there a demo available?

I'm between novels, so let me take this question for the team.  Ah, a young lady asking guys questions about their fetishes and fantasies!  I am so sorry some guys are weird and, I am among them.  While a few guys have model vanilla lives they can afford and enjoy, other guys get into online gaming, actually believe they can kill and be killed without repercussions:  While still others want to be the most or only desirable man in the universe for a few hours.  This game is just an escape from a reality, as real life simply does not allow a guy to live out those fantasies.  Sometimes self-gratification needs a little assistance.  Our society defines relationships, and 20 years ago, those currently enjoying LGBTQ ism could not live out their fantasies in actuality.  However, for those of us who will never gain acceptance for our fantasies; visual novels are the best we can have.  They are generally fantasy based, and hopefully, no one views them as real life.  Actually, this story is of the few where there are actually male side characters.  Normally, the MC is the only guy in the universe, such that he gets all the girls, women, etc., and they are all okay with being part of his harem.  He usually has a large penis, is incredible in bed, has great personality, or heightened level of sensitivity to lure the females onto the team.  Side male characters (when available), support the harem, and in some cases, a fetish might make the supporting dude a gay victim, or somehow becoming radically transferred into a female for harem participation.  The MC usually has a few unique encounters while the story builds to keep interest, while things evolve into incest, relationships with older women (including teachers, bosses, step-moms and hot aunts), and other polygamous relationships.  There are fetish choices in place to satisfy people who like a certain activity, with saves and rollbacks an option to peek and go the preferred route.  The novelist has to satisfy the readers interest, reading levels, visual desires, and fetishes.  This is just the way of the genre; no different from hentai, and usually a safer outlet than a porn addiction.   So yeah, we know girls probably don't want to kiss other girls, share a love interest, sleep with their male family members, etc., and I doubt visual novel readers really expect or would make a move to see some of these things happen in real life.  Jail time for assault is also real and highly feared, since it would involve a straight male not only losing his job and status, but also being shame-ridden in front of family, friends, and society, while also becoming an unwilling participant of a powerful inmate's all too real male harem fetish.  So that dumb look you see on a guy sometimes, it's just a random thought, and visual novels are those dumb thoughts unlocked by some creative mind with a story to tell, for those of us, wanting a few hours of escape.  Please don't judge us too harshly.  You might be asked a question in curiosity from a male interest, but unless also curious, just squash it quickly with a nasty comment or harsh share, knowing the fetish and maybe the guy, would likely quietly sliver away.

I wouldn't focus so much on animations.  I actually like the artwork just as it is.  I have been around my share of visual novels, and though a few have impeccable graphics, the story is what makes most.  Some stories are so bland and predictable, I have gone to straight space bar and even ditching the program (no matter the graphics or art design), but your current project is so unique and entertaining:  I have read every single word of your material, because the dialogue is easy flowing, and what happens next, truly holds my interest.  So far, your concept is interesting, the characters are crazy, likeable, and your product is rare and shows real imagination and talent.  You will get better with art and visuals over time.  Maybe you could just wait and display it on the next novel.  There is a certain charm to what you have here.  Just keep going and please don't ditch it over something like graphics.
