0.05 Version Changed A lot of the visuals to be less block out in nature

(1 edit)

I ended up removing the browser version because it ran so bad, and people were getting that bad performance for their first impression of the game. Also the screenshots (as of this message) are from the 0.01 version of the game, where as the download is 0.03 so there is some visual differences to be seen. I was able to do a bit more work on it because of the hours extension given from Itch going down for some reason.

Yes, thank you I agree with you

I understand and agree completely, I have much work to do on the UI visuals and how it works, such as the UI being controlled by the keyboard and not just the mouse is quite janky. I'd also like to add better controller support for it.

Thank you, A mashing mechanic between turns to increase your speed is an interesting idea I'll have to consider such a thing for a future update. Also the Goose Boots are a little EE to one of my much older games

Thank you, I need to work on these things more but I think more polish and thought into the game will turn it into a fun little game in the future.

Thank you, I'll have to balance the game better and consider some sort of thing to make the wait time per turn more feasible to the player.

Thank you, an accelerate button is a great idea.

That's understandable thank you for giving it a try nonetheless

Thank you very much

Thank You for playing  our game, I'll make a note about the Tuslakt, in the last moment I had changed it's stats to be higher because before it was getting one-shot by the player and I had mistakenly forgot to test it after altering it's stats.

There were many times where I was struggling with the systems I had made with bugs, but that feeling of "AH! HA!" when figuring out the fix was exhilarating.

Thank you, I'm positive my friend Snippr Snappr who made the BG music will appreciate you saying that. As for a mini-map I did, for a moment consider and like the idea of implementing one but it was quickly over-shadowed by like 8 bugs with the loop-based combat at the time and I quickly forgot about it. Maybe after this jam I'll update the game with more polish and mechanics I wanted to add, like a mini-map and a tutorial.

Thank you, I agree it's slow and I would have liked to better balance the equipment stats to make the overall pace of it better... Balancing is hard lol

Yes thank you, having a short tutorial in the start very much would have been a great decision, sadly tunnel vision took over and I completely forgotten to even consider a tutorial.

Yes I agree it is a lot of waiting due to me adding a bunch of equipment that changes the speed of the attack turn I had to increase the wait time so some player builds weren't instantly and constantly taking a turn, not allowing enemies to have a chance. Did it at the last minute and balancing  things just is not my strong suit.

Thank you for playing our game.

Yeah Understandable, the environment and level design was one of the parts that was rushed and lacking in favor of big mechanics and bug fixing, another thing that was cut out was equipment adding skills when equipped.

Thank you for trying our game out

Thank you, I'm sure my teammate who designed the level will appreciate your kind words

Thank you, I will keep this in mind when updating the game after the jam.

You are right, there is more guns.

To get a new gun you need to collect all six die face from killing enemies with the die face you don't have yet,

UI shows what die faces you have collected on the left of your screen, and giant dies floating above enemies will show what die face they have.

Killing an enemy will reroll all enemies dice.

There is a total of six weapons and three are powerful in a point gaining aspect so when those run out of ammo they break forcing you back to the pistol.

Thank you again, I am excited to work more on this project

Can you give me an example of what you mean by variety of gameplay?

I have updates I'm waiting to upload till after the gamejam ends, so if I can understand and make this variety of gameplay I very much will.

This was one of those games that as I worked on it, the more I hated it.
I appreciate your comment.

BTW I've been enjoying your videos for close to a year now, keep it up.

I have used songs from this guy in the past.

I recommend his music!

This game was rushed, since I had another jam starting the day after I submitted it.
You start at the left because I had quickly placed the character their for testing, and never moved it again.
So meh...

I saw some texture bug on the floorboards occasionally.
I very much enjoyed the art in this game.
Goodjob!

The collision for the fox seemed to be directly linked to the sprite,
so I tended to get caught on the sides of the platforms by my little foxy chin.

The artist for the Cartridge For My Submission doesn't like that I made a game based on it. Says it's plagiarism.
Was I Supposed to get the artists Permission before I made the game?

Thank you for playing my game! :D
The sounds are all made by me and a friend making noises in the mic lol.
I did feel like it really needed guidance and still do lol, but I did get lazy.
...SPOILER ALERT...
The chicken heals you overtime, and there is a total of 4 chickens, they are also the keys to be able to go fight the ending boss.

Thanks again for playing, I really appreciate it :D

Thank you, the immunity time is a good idea. :D

It's a fun play, the music sounded buggy/glitchy, I opted to play on mute.
The idea can Def become something much more if given the time.

Thanks For Playing!
I'm going to be playing your game here shortly purely because the name sounds fun and I liked the picture.
And yeah the game is hard but because I didn't really balance things out lol.
It was mainly "IMA PUT THIS IN CAUSE IS COOL!"  lol
Any tips or ideas feel free to tell me, when I make another game like this I'll definitely have them in my head.
:D
