I gotcha, it was very wordy. I made the individual pages longer in order to cut down on straight click through, but I don't have that balance down yet.
That's a note I've made, too, that it needs more backstory. It should be more clear that you're following entries made in the diary to learn about specific cultural fae. I did initially have the day loss mech set at 1 day for everything, including countries, but if you can get through everything in one sitting, why come back? ;)
I agree about the images, I ran out of time. Also I wasn't aware that I could use background images in Arcweave that stretched across multiple frames, so that's something I've learned now!
Thanks for your feedback! I did suffer from scope creep (lol) and had several ideas that didn't make it in with the time. I was trying to keep the overall reading shorter so didn't add as much description/explanation about the places, and I should have cut elsewhere in order to provide more context for the player. The initial idea was that picking up facts along the way would allow you to pass some kind of test at the end, or help guide you in the decisions you make with the gatekeeper fae at the fire (like not asking his name), but that didn't make it in either.
Cute game! I’d like to see more fish, or the types not be caught more than twice. It was a little confusing to keep catching them when they had already been added to the book. I liked the book, that was a neat idea, especially the free draw section. It could use a “close” tab for when you’re done inputting though.
