Nice little game, I like the combination of elements on the screen vs in the world around you, could be interesting to do more with that idea. The retro 3D cutscenes if I can call them that between levels were a nice touch.

This is great, I like how the bounce feels, it makes it challenging but also predictable. Nice job with the visuals and UI too. Plus it has a cat, and I love cats, so bonus points for that haha.

Thanks, I appreciate that. That's a good perspective.

I was looking forward to this game jam, and I started brainstorming as soon as the reveal happened. I was enjoying working on it at first, but I've been really struggling the last few days. Part of it I think is that I'm trying an engine I'm less familiar with, and it's been a bit of a learning curve, part of it is just unrelated things being a mental load. So I'm considering dropping out. I still like my idea, and I'd like to still make it at some point, but I don't know if the time pressure is helping me currently. It's just difficult not to feel like a failure if I stop now. I'm trying to remember that it's supposed to be enjoyable, but I am my own worst enemy, as I'm sure if true for many of you. I'd appreciate it if anybody could share how they've handled a similar situation before.

:)
