You have to use the spinners, and land on the two springs where you can see the sunset while spinning. Hold right and you'll leap above the chasm and reach the boss area.
Alternatively, if you know your way around the stage, you can cross the chasm on the platforms by spinning with the speed shoes active!
The easiest way is to look for a Fire Shield. There's one near the start of the level if you stay in the middle hight of the lava falls, and a few others scattered through the level. With a fire shield he can't hurt you at all.
Without a fire shield, I suggest you to stay on the right side of the arena, wait for the fire to reach you then leap above it as you go to the left. Hit a pipe when you can. If you time it right, you should be able land a hit and have the fire dissipate before it can reach you on the other side.
Good luck!
They are not as hard as they first seem.
Just practice them a little, you'll eventually be able to guess the patterns the game is throwing at you. Mind you I didn't say you need to memorize the level, just the possible patterns. If you manage to do that you can clear any stage the game has.
- Try to never stay in the center too long, you'll likely get hit by a bomb
- Jump left and right, don't run left and right
- If you keep tapping the direction of the wall you're in, you'll stay stable in the same place
- Each section has 3x the required amount of rings, don't get discouraged if you miss a line of ring at the start of a pattern.
- Don't worry too much about having all the emeralds on the first playthrough. You can replay green grove and go for the missing emeralds quite easily on a cleared savegame
Hello, thank you for enjoying the game and for the effort taken!
However, you should consider to download and use the Saturn DLC which already has the Saturn Soundtrack, doesn't require to replace the Mega Drive Music, allows you to select which music to play in each act individually and loops correctly.
I think Ashura works well as he is.
The Firedash as base ability gives him a lot more navigational options than base Sonic (Sonic needs better play to keep a fire shield on). This means Ashura can easily access wall blocked paths and shortcuts with less effort.
You can rush down through the stages with him at the cost of being less effective than Sonic at the bosses.
Amy and Shadow cover respectively the Hard mode and the Easy mode, so yeah, it makes sense for Shadow to feel easy.
