Cute game! Really love the idea, the art, and the music!
Works really well for a first game, congratulations!
Really fun game! Think combat power in the demo maxes out at 11,379 , or at least that was the highest I was able to get.
Ended up Killing Wolves, Killing Goblins, Aiding Fairy, and Siding with Dragons, maybe combinations of the other options would get me further, but Killing the Fairy never netted me nearly enough Power to continue, and siding with Dwarves just didn't get me as high.
Good game though, excited to see this continue development, and the "automation" really helped it become an "idle" game once I'd reached a high-option-density. Once I figured out what was best for my path, I could let that run and then just wait until I got to the newer options.
This was a fun one! I liked the interactivity of the main loop, and I liked that I never felt like I had to wait too long for the next upgrade. A suggestion might be make the casino more apparent? The first time I unlocked it, I didn't have any tokens so I basically ignored it until the very end, when I suddenly saw I had tokens to spend. Maybe have a popup when the player gains tokens?
Otherwise an extremely fun demo and I'll definitely be wishlisting this on steam and recommending it to friends!
I think I agree with you here. Great visuals so far, love the camera movements as well, it sets the VN apart, but the dialogue is.... something.
Originally I thought his grandparents calling him "MC" was placeholder text, but when I realized it was his initials, it makes the entire conversation...weird.
At one point Maru says "In the media I've consumed..." and that is just the most unnatural way to put it. His inner world should illuminate his personality to the audience, and the way he speaks in his own head is like a robot or an alien.
I won't say anything about the visuals/VAing as its still in progress, but definitely they need to focus up more on the writing.
