This submission was disqualified because there is no game.

I can't access the game page. Please fix this before the gamejam ends.

We do plan to make this a yearly tradition so yes. The next gamejam will happen in June 2026. You can join our Discord server for news on when the next gamejam is about to start. Feel free to join the 2026 gamejam here: https://itch.io/jam/thefnaffangamejam2026

The one night at daves games has been disqualified from this gamejam for the games being created before the jam.

Due to evidence found by a user, these One Night at David's games will be disqualified due to these games being made before the gamejam. Even this Scratch account (where the games seems to originate from) says it all: https://scratch.mit.edu/users/CoderNinjaG4mes777/projects/

Even has the same description as the scratch versions and some of them even had the original release dates which was before the gamejam period.

Thank you for sending me the information that is useful for me to warrent the disqualifications of these games (by the time you see this, the games are probably already disqualified).

I will say, 8 games is pretty crazy for 1 gamejam. Most devs would usually submit 1-2 games. Since the games were published within the gamejam period, do you have any proof that these games were made before the game before I disqualify them. I want to make sure I am being fair since the rules state games made within the gamejam period would be accepted.

It just need to be FNAF themed. I did provide examples on the page where you can make a parody game like Dayshift at Freddy's, a freeroam game like those cool Unreal Engine games, or even go with the classic survive the night system. It just needs to be a FNAF fangame.

As the rules says, rule 1 does say "Games must at least be playable on Windows and/or be played on a browser." so yes. It would still follow the rules. Infact, if you can't make a browser build, then making a Windows build is needed. Hopefully this helps. Good luck.

Really interesting twist for a FNAF 1 remake.

Guess I was not ready for freddy. Died at 4AM the first round.

Really interesting idea, however, when I playing it, I felt confused. The only controls explained is the mouse controls which is to move the camera. The movements on the guy on the monitor feels random and moves when it wants to. When a new device was introduced on the second level, I felt more confused. On the instructions, it does say "enter the word wall on the top panel and the index appears in the bottom panel". If the bottom is talking about the wall indexes that show up when pushing the button, I tried that and it didn't seem to do anything. I am confused about what it means by "word wall". Basically, my major feedback is that I wish the gameplay/controls is better explained.

Even though I played only 1 night for a video, I really like the environment of this game. Took me about 3 tries to figure out April's (as stated by the phone guy) movement pattern to combat properly, I was able to figure her out and beat night 1. Really interesting how you stay until 8AM instead of 6AM. This is something I would play during my free time.

I see you found us a few days ago. First, I would like to say, welcome to the gamejam. I know you only had a few days left to make your game. I will say that we will be back in the summer time so you can get another chance. So if you are still interested in this type of gamejam, you can join our next game jam. Our Discord server will always be available. Here is the link to the next gamejam: https://itch.io/jam/the-fnaf-fangame-jam-2025
