This is really good! I love the piano melodies here they feel really cozy and inviting i guess, and those little pauses help with the playful feel you were going for. Even though its short it feels like something I could have on loop for a long time with out getting bored. Great job!!

I really enjoyed this, I think you did a great job emulating these games styles. I like all the chromatic runs and there's a lot of variety to keep the song interesting.

Thanks! I'm actually a metal drummer, so I kinda just made the drums a bit more intense then they probably needed to be for fun.

really good stuff! Maybe its cause I haven't played the games since I was a kid, but I associate a lot of the town themes with a strong feeling of nostalgia and you really nailed that. The panning is really well done on the track, it makes each part really stand out and nothing really feels out of place.

Thanks! I really need to learn to eq stuff but I was a bit low on time so I figured I'd focus on the composition, but I'll definitely try to work on that in my next project.

Thanks for the insight! This is my first time creating anything so any kind of critique goes a long way. I'll definitely try to improve my production and mixing skills when I make something else.

Really cool battle theme! In the 1996 version, you did a great job making a lot interesting variations and changes throughout the song, so nothing ever felt boring despite the limited sound palate. I also really enjoyed a lot of the little details in the 2026 version like the chanting in the background, small stuff like that can really elevate tracks (also that genre shift near the end is awesome). I don't really have any obvious critiques, good work!

btw, I'm also just impressed that you managed to make 2 really strong submissions in such a short period.
