Maybe we could give the developer a bit more benefit of the doubt. Version 0.25 dropped with a ton of new content—new storylines, scenes, even gameplay mechanics—so it’s clear the time wasn’t wasted.
Sure, the lack of communication for months can be frustrating, especially for those who support the project financially. But that doesn’t always mean the dev is being greedy or lazy. From what I can tell, Hexatail might be working solo or with a very small team, and prioritizing quality over quantity takes time. There was even a public statement about how their previous ‘Content Voting’ system slowed them down, and that they’re now shifting focus to faster, more flexible updates.
I agree that delays without any explanation don’t sit well—especially in a Patreon-supported model—but at the same time, we’re getting a game that looks and feels polished, with unique storylines and characters. That’s not something every dev delivers consistently in the adult VN scene.
