Neglected to rate this one as it's just too unwieldy. Clearly folks seem to like it, which is great!

Loved this one. Simple in concept, but the idea of manually typing in the variant universes really lent well to the theme of the game jam. You really feel like you're "accessing" the other universes. If this were expanded and each universe had more mechanical depth, plus making QoL to counteract the expanded size and complexity, this could be a truly awesome full game
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe add a bonus for fixing up the mail. Doing an extra good job, if you will! Could just be a simple +1 stamp that doesn't scale. Extra worth it early on, just part of doing the job later on.
Still, I have to stress it's an excellent game, I enjoyed it a lot. I only highlighted the potential issues!
Great game! Only three real points of contention:
1) After you put a letter/parcel in the mailer, it takes a delay to work on the next one. Many times I clicked the mailbag only to be told to finish the current letter, even though it has already been sent.
2) Mechanically, there isn't really a reason to buy any of the repair tools. It is faster to just put them in the undeliverable pile and move on, whereas the desk upgrades make everything easier and award you a higher salary. Obviously it's the most fun to fix them, but it's hard not to feel like you're throwing money into a hole unless they're cheap... which occurs after you buy the desks instead.
3) Considering how often you have to use the portal, it takes too long. If the mailbag was ALSO present in the moss dimension, it wouldn't be so bad. Work on the mail until you get one in the other dimension, swap, work on the mail until you need to swap again. Either that or speed up the portal time, it's bothersome to wait every time you need to go to the other place, and then back, and forth, and back, and forth...
3.5) I'm sad I can't dig the undeliverable mail back out once I had the tools. It's undeliverable forever!!
3.75) Edit: I forgot one! When the auto-sorter is purchased, you can click a letter and put it in the now-equally-colored sorter, implying you can put them anywhere. This is not the case and I was deducted 100 stamps at the end of the day. Then I realized you right click the letter and it auto sorts/sends. Both should probably work, or disable the option to manually put them in the sorter.
No, that's totally understandable. I wanted to create something in the vein of Candy Box etc. entirely in JS, which was nice because I don't have any level of artistic skill. :P But at the same time it has its pitfalls. I tried to compensate with things like all the various "animations" with hitting the buttons and such, but I know it's rough. I'm going to continue to workshop it and maybe it will at least become a little pleasant? Either way, I appreciate the feedback.
Absolutely adore this game. Happy to see other people in the comments have done crazy self-imposed runs, like avoiding the blue orbs and such. :P
Hope more is done with this, or something similar etc. I have put an utterly unreasonable amount of time into this game. It's just something fun and attention-grasping when I can't think of what I want to play, really it's bordering on avoidant behavior. Started making a little tally every time I did a full-clear (it's more fun than just beating it) and embarrassingly it's in the hundreds.
Keep it up!!!
