If you have reached the cave scene, you know that there is a character there. That character can only be saved if you meet certain requirements with the merchant.
The event appears when you leave the bar. You will see two guys talking in front of the alley. If you listen to their conversation, you will know what to do.
There is currently no solution. The developer tries to fix various bugs when updating the game, but your phone is low-end, which limits the possibilities of fixing the bug, as this would require many optimizations and would slow down the current updates. If you could play it on a more powerful phone or on a computer, that would be ideal.
Several older or low-end phones have been reported to not work properly with the game. The creator is trying to fix this but has certain limitations. Try it again in a new version to see if it works properly.
A1 : Build the greenhouse, go to the Farm buy seeds and grow them. Sunflowers take 15 days to grow. A2 : Chop 30 woods. Go to frontyard. Help the mysterious merchant. Go to see the merchant every sunday. (later update will signal when it's sunday. For now, just do (number of current day)/7 => if the result is a full number without decimal point, then you are sunday. Or just check everyday. Some messages are filtered, others slip through. Both the creator and I usually check the page to make sure there are no such messages, although there is no way to block them by default. Hopefully, itchio will add a word or link filtering tool.
