Update: 30 Mar 2024

All enemies up to lv15 have been balanced out now.  higher level enemies are being tested and calibrated (enemies needing 4 party members to defeat)

Testing is continuing and bugs are being squashed still.  we are nearing general completion, WOO!

Live testing of this new version will be between 3rd March 2024 and 5th March 2024, join the Discord channel if you want to participate.

Chapter 1 boss (will be starting tomorrow (11 Feb 24) on this.

Code cleanup (70% completed)

Enemy levels 16 - 45 will be tested out as I'm coding (I only have one spare pc for testing)

Target release date for 0.02 Alpha - 30 April 2024 (Ideally sooner)


Apologies for the extended delays, but I do think the content will be worth the wait for a much smoother experience.

A quick reference for everything in this update (will update as things go on, this will also be put in the changelog)



--All of RD Labs maps have been updated to feel more compact and less open space.

--Fixed up the lab destruction scene.

--RD Labs area now has some NPC's walking about (Patreon supporters / Itch.io donators) whom you can interact with.

--Specters will now warp you if you touch them in rd labs.

--RD labs entire sequence now coded.  Many changes were made to the ending.



Fixed:

--All enemies have been re-scaled to be progressively more difficult and are in line with your own character progression (should be less grindy battles when you're at similar levels to the enemy.)

As of 6 Jan 2024, the current end of the game project is:

(Version 0.01 Alpha)  Just after you wake up on the beach, after battling the naga aboard the Nogard Cruiser

I am aware that some areas seem too "open / confusing / easy to get lost in"  This is being updated for version 0.02


If you find glitches in areas, please post them below.

This will follow the standard RPG battles of most JRPG games.


Note: I know the battles in version 0.01 Alpha are tough.  They will be upgraded and redone for version 0.02 Alpha to be a lot more friendly and a lot less grindy.


Current key levels (recommended):

Level 1 - 5 (Beginning battle area)

Level 6 - 10 (Marzipan Path)

Levels 11 - 15 (Nogard Cruiser)
