AWESOME GAME. No complaints.

I’m noticing a lot of similarities between yalls game and our own… which thanks for playing by the way!

If I have one complaint it’s that I found it very difficult to click and drag signals onto the ships, I would much prefer to have a hotkeys for each direction to automatically pick it up and then click to drop, similar to RTS games.

Overall awesome game!!! I love the cutscenes, character art, dialogue, everything! Excellent job!!

Tha beautifull mouse lady belongs on Sega’s Top 10 Hottest Female Sonic Characters I do declare

Ok this is a fun game! It took me a moment to realize I didn’t have to click on individual nodes and I could actually click anywhere on the screen. I really got into it!! Great job!!

Very cool! I’ll admit that I was expecting more levels/challenges, but I don’t think that detracts from the gameplay you’ve got. The music and aethetic are both absolute FIRE too. Excellent work!

Thank you for playing our game! Also hello fellow bird :>

Wow, I am impressed. Wonderful challenge and environmental storytelling. The checkpoints are kinda brutal though… that’s my only complaint. Excellent work!

Awesome!!! Thank you so much a-for-to playing our game!

I don’t think there are any full playthrough videos but you can always type commands directly for more precision. Accents can definitely be a vector for frustration, and unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to adjust that (we used a premade voice interpretation library). But, my roommate played our game and he has a thick Texan accent, and he had a similar experience to you – he was frustrated, but simultaneously amused. Thank you for playing our game and offering kind words!

I’m not sure what may be causing your game to lag. It’s been tested on Linux, Windows, and web, and you’re the first to experience any slowdown. (I don’t think there’s much we can do about it, but…) Thank you for playing our game and giving us constructive criticism!

Saw the thumbnail/title and was instantly hooked. It’s fun to learn how to take care of the protogens! I appreciate having a tutorial that is not super hand-holdy. Very funny and very fun. Great job!

This is my kind of game. Absolutely in love with it. There’s something magical about learning about another character’s day-to-day life, so this game feels immersive on another level, like actual real life culture shock. I only wish there was MORE! Stellar job folks. 5 stars everywhere.

I’m am too scared

This is an awesome game. I love the everything – dialogue, art, and gameplay. Wish I could control using the mouse though, that’s my only real complaint. Amazing work!

Overall a solid game! Only thing it’s missing is SFX. Great job!

WOW this game is complicated… and very cool! I love the idea of a mini-city builder on a moving spacecraft. I’m impressed with all of the different building mechanics and I do love me a good space exploration game! Great work.

A simple idea, perfectly executed. I was smiling from start to finish. Everything from the 90s aesthetic to the music was CRISP.

…If I have one suggestion to make, I think it would be making the levels less linear, and more open, and making finding the correct signal spot to be the primary challenge.

Still. Excellent, excellent work. Five stars on all fronts.

Oh my gosh you nailed the atmosphere SO WELL. I think this is one of the few games that has so much detail in the environment visuals and audio, that music is not necessary.

…That being said, I didn’t get very far and I’m not sure how to proceed past the elevator room. Even so I’m impressed with the various platforming mechanics!

Don’t lose heart! There is something brilliant here that just needs a little more time to develop, and you’ve already proven to be a great environment artist. I WANT to see more of Bad Signal!!!

This is COOL. I love the puzzles/ciphers and I think it fits the theme perfectly. My only real complaints are QOL-related. Namely, I wish I could have multiple windows open at the same time and move them around to make it more like a workspace/desk. Hotkeys would help too. But I love the story and I think yall did a great job!!

Ok so, I am going to try to be as constructive as possible because, this game idea is SO COOL and I WANT to play more of it. But… I had a very difficult time trying to do so.

Here’s what I think needs improvement:

  • The controls. The mouse sensitivity is way too high and I couldn’t find a setting for it, and the camera being animated with the character is a cool detail but it caused me to get dizzy.
  • Clarity on what I am supposed to do; i.e. the game design. I see all of the notes around, but I don’t really know when I am supposed to do something, or why. So I basically just looked around the area and took in the environment.

Ok BUT BUT BUT what I LOVE about this game is LITERALLY EVERYTHING ELSE. The concept of being a lighthouse operator moth is so brilliant and so fitting. I can’t believe there is a fully 3d modeled and animated moth character!! I wish I could see the entire dude. And the environment itself is actually quite detailed and beautiful. That combined with the sound effects, makes for a very atmospheric experience.

Overall I think it needs work, but you guys have my full support!!!

This game is pretty neato! The enemies are quite difficult to anticipate and my hand got a little cramped from holding down the mouse button, but I like it! Dex is the GOAT

I’m glad you enjoyed your time with our game, thank you for playing!

I really enjoyed the maze section because I felt like I was going somewhere I wasn’t supposed to, like a secret area. So it was a wonderful surprise when I made it through! Great job!

The controls were kind of stiff, though I think it’s supposed to be like a more complicated version of flappy bird? Which is actually a really cool idea that I’d love to see refined and expanded upon. Incredible artwork and fun music too. Great job!

This is such a cute game. Love it so much. I love having a creative goal and the minigames are fun ways to get there. Like a snowman… it’s only as good as you make it. It’s just like real life :’)

I really like how the movement feels, it’s quick, easy, and snappy. Excellent for a platformer. Good job!

This game has everything! 3D graphics! Dialogue! Transitions! Translations! I’m amazed by what you were able to accomplish in just two weeks! Who did the art and/or modelling for this game?

Love the animated transition between areas! Good job!

Such a simple concept but so much fun to be had! I would have loved to see some additional gameplay mechanics like, you have to be careful not to burn hedges or walls… but at the same time I did have a lot of fun just spreading fire with reckless abandon.

Wonderful comment, thank you for the kind words and constructive criticism! (Spoiler alert… you can carry multiple boxes at the same time!)

Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it! And yes, it saves progress!! And yes, it’s a known issue that the 3D section is noticably laggy on web.

This game was a short and sweet delight to the senses! Excellent UI in particular, but I loved the music and sound effects too! I only wish for more slopes/levels to play on, and I wish I could do a backflip on the big jump! Great job yall!!

Cute characters and story! Great job!

What a great little game! It’s short, simple, and sweet. Excellent distinct visuals and great music and sound effects too. Great job on your first ever jam, y’all should be proud!

Cool concept! I want to explore the entire dungeon but it’s pretty frustrating to get game over and sent back to the beginning after only one hit. Some rooms felt very trolly where they instakill you the moment you enter. Cute artwork though, great job!

Even with the tutorial, I didn’t really understand how to play, it seems very complicated… but man, this visual style is so cozy! I loved seeing all of the characters! Great art and animations!!

Sure, I should have been more specific. When I say it’s complicated I mainly am talking about the letter scoring system. There are so many small numbers on the screen that it’s overwhelming to look at it all. My thought was “I’ll never understand all this math well enough to get the maximum score.” I didn’t understand how different options led to different results, even though all the information was right there in front of me. So I mainly just chose options randomly. And that was fun in its own way, but I didn’t pay much attention to it.

But, the actual main game loop of picking up letters and delivering them is quite simple and the to-do list was very helpful. The main game loop I thought was very managable and well-designed.

Holy bananas this game is complicated …but very fun! All the dialogue was fun to listen to and read. Great job!

This game is really cool! There are many cool ideas that I can see being expanded upon! The platforming challenges are quite difficult, although the hologram character was very helpful. Great job!
