Sure, I should have been more specific. When I say it’s complicated I mainly am talking about the letter scoring system. There are so many small numbers on the screen that it’s overwhelming to look at it all. My thought was “I’ll never understand all this math well enough to get the maximum score.” I didn’t understand how different options led to different results, even though all the information was right there in front of me. So I mainly just chose options randomly. And that was fun in its own way, but I didn’t pay much attention to it.
But, the actual main game loop of picking up letters and delivering them is quite simple and the to-do list was very helpful. The main game loop I thought was very managable and well-designed.
This has got to be one of my favorites in this jam so far. I spent a solid 20 minutes playing and I loved every moment! Simple fun game concept with no worries to be found. The warm lighting and colorful cast of characters is very cozy indeed! Had a good laugh with some of the ingredients customers wanted. I loved seeing all of the character animations, it feels fresh to see some proper 3D animation! Keep up the great work fellas.
Wow, I’m really impressed by the paper cutting mechanic! I’ve never seen anything like that in a game before. Excellently animated transition too! Also, I think it’s hilarious how I forgot to decorate for Christmas and I’ve got to cobble together some decorations in time for Christmas morning. Real G’s do it by hand. Great job!
Oh my goodness look at the little frog!! This game is so good. It’s got EVERYTHING! Innovative gameplay, minimal (but helpful) tutorials, tough but fair levels, excellent visual style, excellent audio, not to mention DYNAMIC MUSIC??? Can I get that on vinyl please?? I only wish there were more levels! :)
Ok, so I was actually really surprised by this game. There is SO MUCH to talk about! First of all, very nice transitions. I couldn’t believe it when I saw multiple game modes, and I love how collecting gifts in the main game unlocks elements in the snowman minigame. There are plenty of levels and each one feels unique, and new mechanics to discover along the way! Overall it feels like a very complete experience. Y’all should be really proud of what you’ve accomplished!
Hello, I use Godot as well. Just thought I’d comment I believe the safest way to detect if it’s playing in the browser is to use OS.has_feature("web") as per the Feature tag documentation. There are lots of other useful feature tags which I typically use during development.
