I think that what's here has potential, but, because it's unfinished, it ends too quickly. I really enjoyed what I played and thought that the puzzle to finish the game was good. I also thought that the art looked really good. Unfortunately, since the game is unfinished, it doesn't fully have the Hero's Journey structure. I can see how this story could be the Hero's Journey story if finished, but as it is it doesn't really follow that structure.

This was an interesting game. I thought that it was pretty well done for the most part, though I noticed a spelling error and the exits leading to other rooms were often on a single tile even when the passage was wider than that, making me have to find the exact tile I need to move to in order to progress. Other than that, I liked the game. It was an interesting theme and the twist at the end fit the theme of the jam.

I really like the idea for this game, and I think it was executed really well. Figuring out what things to get was actually somewhat challenging, and I got stuck for a bit but eventually figured it out. I was really impressed by how well the game was programmed for being a Bitsy game. You really made good use of the inventory. I'm not sure that the game fit the theme super closely, but it was at least close, I think.

I thought that this game dealt with the theme in a good way and had a good message. I also thought that the art in the game was pretty good. I liked that there were multiple endings. It didn't really feel like there was much gameplay though. I pretty much just made my choice at the beginning and then interacted with things.

I thought that the visual presentation of this game. It had a lot of texture. The theme of this game was also interesting. The thought of whether horrible people deserve a second chance, and the idea of that person making the choice for themself whether they are worthy of it.

It was a really interesting idea to make this game a side-scroller, since Bitsy isn't really built for that. I thought that you did a good job with that. I thought that the visuals were well done too. I thought that you made the game surprisingly immersive for a Bitsy game.

I thought that the theme of this game was relatable to me. The way that things change as you get older, and it was an interesting take on the "texture" theme. I thought that the gameplay was pretty basic though. You basically just walk to the next object with no other options.

This game was very brief, but I liked what I played. I thought the puzzle was good, although simple, and it felt like I was dealing with an IT issue. One small nitpick is that when the other employee tells you where to go, he says it's "down the hall to your left," but you to to the door on the right. I guess it's to the left from the character's perspective, but it's to the right from the player's perspective, so it was slightly confusing.

I thought that this game was fairly basic, but I liked being able to move through the house and look at things. Sometimes I felt a bit confused where I was supposed to go in order to go to the next screen, and I was able to glitch myself out of where you were supposed to be once briefly. Part of the theme of this game felt pretty relatable to me, with feeling like you are trapped in your life and not enjoying things quite the same way you enjoyed them when you were younger.

I liked the gameplay of needing to go around collecting things before moving on to the next part of the story in a logical way. I did notice that there was a door that said you can't go through it if you don't have the key, but you could go through it anyway. Other than that, everything worked fine. I did think that the villain seemed a bit unrealistic, and maybe would have been better if you didn't actually meet them. I liked the concept of playing as a cat and helping people. The ending made me feel sad and made me wish there was a way to save the cats.

This game's story was pretty depressing, but it felt hopeful at the same time. I really liked the idea of gathering your thoughts represented as collecting things and then moving to a central spot, and making it a maze made it feel a bit more engaging. I also felt like I was able to get a sense of how the characters are trapped, with the same thing being repeated multiple times with variations in dialogue.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked my humour.

Thanks! Yes, that's their website. It's also available on Steam. There are a bunch of different versions sold as separate programs. The one I have is RPG Maker MV. I'm not really sure what the difference between the versions is. It's pretty expensive normally (like, over $100), but it goes on sale for, like somewhere around $20 or $30-something, so I'd suggest waiting for a sale if you are going to get it. It's pretty limited, but is an easy way to make RPG games specifically. You can put in as many custom sprites and sounds as you want. It's mostly code-free, but it is possible to make plugins in Javascript that improve or change things. For instance, I used a plugin that lets you move around freely in all directions, since you can normally only move in 4 directions within a grid. There are lots of plugins that people have made that you can find online.

Thanks!

Thanks! I actually don't really play classical RPGs either, honestly (unless you count the Paper Mario or Mario & Luigi games). I'd consider this game to be closer to a point-and-click adventure game in the style of an RPG. I mainly chose RPG Maker because it was fast and easy to work with and an RPG fit the theme of my idea.

Thanks! It is possible to save before you enter the end cutscene and then load your save after so you can easily try both options, but I admit that it's not very clear that you can do that. Also, nice ProZD reference.
