really like the sprites and parry mechanic! its cute that you pick up the tutorial as powers  :)

(first time running i got an error, i think because i was skipping text with my mouse, its pretty easy to reproduce)

i like the control scheme, jumping between and sticking to walls is a great mechanic. i also agree that the spikes are way too hard to see, you can scale them up or make them brighter to fix that. the first walljumps with the spikes could use more leniency, without checkpoints it's easy to get frustrated fast. overall, cute concept!

cool little platformer! the sprite work is very clean and i like the parallax effect. i couldn't progress past the spring part though. i'd suggest some checkpoints and/or respawning the donuts after a bit. other than that the game plays well!

really fun game! it's a really cool game loop to try and memorize the level layout as you go for faster and faster starts. would love to see more levels made for the game. impressive work, especially as a solo dev!

thank you for playing and the kind words!!

this concept is so cool and well executed! i'll be honest, the level design feels a little too trolly and unforgiving for my taste, the checkpoints help out with that though.  the block before the turret room is especially hard to avoid without any sign of it being there. still very unique and i'm sure with some tweaking it would feel tough but fair!

very fun and satisfying game loop  :)

i do think the dodge roll length could be longer, and spamming attack gets tiring after a bit. but with some adjustments i think this could be a great full game!

interesting concept! i wasn't able to get very far but the mechanics are fun to try and manage. it feels really difficult to keep your sleep meter down when the boss is just staring you down haha. other than that i had no other issues!

this game is awesome!! all the movement mechanics are a ton of fun and the platforming is satisfying to execute. love the art style as well, super charming! i ended up running forward for way too long in that one hallway hah. outstanding work to all of you :)

(1 edit)

very cute and endearing game! all the art is cozy and cohesive and each of the environments are interesting to explore.

also love when a game has a dedicated button just for making a cute noise  haha

love how meta this is! emulates the frenzy of trying to learn a new program or skill very well.

cute pixel art! i love how smooth the animations are, especially the walk. the controls are a little confusing, especially the fridge section, maybe some button prompts or effect when you hover over something would help.

also MAN  i won't spoil it but the first ending i got surprised me hah

speed run 4 was definitely an inspiration for me! and the game actually was gonna be a roguelike before we scoped down to a pure platformer lol. thanks for the suggestions and the kind words!

thank you for the detailed feedback! will definitely tweak the levels a lot if we continue working on the game. i was tasked with level design a few days before deadline and had never done it before haha. glad you enjoyed it!

this game is so cool!! i love the art style and all the visual effects are very satisfying, even if they are a little hectic lol. excellent work!

love the idea of using the remnants to both see where to go next and as platforms! not sure what purpose destroying a remnant has though.

heads up, i tried to play your game but the .pck file is missing :(

fun little game! the control scheme of switching gears and toggling the mower is really cool.

cool concept! i like the idea of managing a lot of tasks in a small area.  the low-poly assets are also very charming.

love the art, its so polished and clean! this feels like a great basis to build upon, nice work!

love the pixel art and presentation! the concept is super charming :)

yeah, i believe either your controller has stick drift or the two control schemes are conflicting. i actually had the same problem with my controller's drift while playtesting hah, we just didn't have time to fix it unfortunately. thank you for your feedback!

yeah it was a challenge to try and design around for sure. it helps a lot to play with controller if you can!
