IMO the game should tell you this, it's kind of an invisible trap right now. Especially with how low the droprate of Spirit Aura is from the chests, I guess something like 5-10%?
But it also reduces the droprate too quickly now, yes.

Pretty nice little idler/incremental game for a few days. But the parrot/expeditions section feels too tacked on/separate from the rest. By the time I got to it, it gives really minor and thus useless resources for the other gameplay sections, rather than the loot I need to progress in the expeditions themselves (or sacrifice to boost the other sections, for tiny boosts that I don't need anymore). The expeditions are also a weird mix of requiring more active gameplay than the rest but also becoming pretty boring quite soon. And there are very few upgrades/boosts available from the other sections to the expeditions. I unlocked the 2nd map (out of 10!) in expeditions but can't really reasonably fight anything there yet, and it feels like I would need to leave the parrot to grind xp for a couple of days in the first map to progress.
There are also some balance issues elsewhere, like upgrades that I can see now but I'm only about 10% of the way there in resources, and they don't look useful even now. Some upgrades in fishing are locked behind legendary fish that you catch much later than the ones needed for better upgrades. The worst offender here was the void seraph giving the iron hook, but I got all the other hooks first because of how the rods progressed and made available the other fish needed for the better hooks. And the fish sprites are all over the place: few "whales" look anything like whales, the bobbit worm has a generic deep-sea fish sprite, etc.. Made me even suspect they were AI-generated.
