Mother Encore is a fan game that feels super authentic to the source material and overall Mother franchise. I'm beyond impressed by how professional this project feels, and the entire development team has some incredible skill and design sensibilities.
Encore looks, sounds, and plays just like an actual Mother game to the point where I could see this as an official product. The presentation, especially the battle animations, is fantastic, and I love the updates to the combat.
There's lots of QoL changes, like how bottle rockets go directly to Lloyd's inventory even if Ninten has open space. Dungeon design is way better than the rest of the Mother series, and some dungeons have actual puzzle mechanics now.
Encore is shaping up to be something really, really fantastic. My biggest hope for Encore is that it will be finished and I'll be able to play it all the way through.
