Thanks a lot for the structured feedback! I didn't really want to make it this linear, but I figured it was probably the only way to avoid softlocks with the mechanics I had imlemented. Next time I should definetely explain the game mechanics more (than not at all). Regarding the music, I really wanted to go WILD for some reason but after the game was taking shape I would probably rather aim for something softer and calmer.

Would love to see a comleted version. Definetely prioritze gameplay next time before adding all the settings and story, it is much more important.

Fun game! Would love to see a star or grade system that tells me how well I did.

Such a beatifully crafted game! Got 114.6 points on my first try. Would love to see if it is good or bad score - maybe a grade at the end of the game would help communicate that? Also I quite didn't understand the white tree so I rather didn't use it to no ruin my score lol. Altough I'm kind of used to game jam games not having music, I would definetely receommend teaming up with a composer on the GWJ discord or in the community tab here on the gamejam page. Very good job Jaime!

For me, playing on 80% in Firefox worked just fine. Maybe fullscreen would solve the UI issue? Otherwise it was a great game! I really liked the artstyle and the jazzy music. I feel like buying the reroll dice for 2 coins was way to unbalanced in comparision to other items. Would probably keep it at the 5 coins.

The level of polish in your game is absolutely unbelievable! I loved the music and the gorgeous VFXs. The only part I didn't enjoy as much was the gameplay itself because it felt a little too simple in comparision to the overall look of the game but you absolutely aced all of the other categories. Two minor bugs I encountered: back button in credits doesn't work for mouse, screenshake in browser is like 100 times stronger than on desktop build.

This was so much fun!! I really liked the customization at the beggining at the game. While the game ran rather smoothly on web, I would still appreciate a desktop version a lot. Also, next time I would add some colliders to the world border instead of telling players no to fall off lol.

I really liked the polished surroundings!

Thank you so much! This was very helpful!

Essentaily the only place where I use look_at() is for disapearing turtle's GPUParticles3D to face the player and after the player takes control of the disapearing turtle, the player and the GPUPartiles3D have the same position and thus look_at() fails because it needs a nonzero length to work, which I definetely should have checked first.

But that's more of a consequence of your bug that lets you take control of disapearing turtle.

Thanks for letting me know! Now that I read your original post again, it was probably a different bug than the one which was happening on linux. I got many players who played in browser so it's weird you were the only one encountering this bug so far.

Hi Artios, thank you for thy fabulous feedback! Sometimes the try and fail approach is easier than figuring everything out right at first, and I'm not talking just about games :D Have a nice day!

Hey IsItLucas?, appreciate your feedback, I was really wondering how much will the players be confused with this little amount of instructions but I was betting on the overall simplicity of the game mechanics ;) Thanks for playing!

Glad you enjoyed the game and thanks for playing, snatty!

Your comment really warmed my heart, thank you! Vive la révolution! (I don't know much French but this one I understood :D )

Hey thanks for the feedback! A friend of mine was playing the linux version yesterady and sadly he encountered the same bug, which didn't occur nor on windows or browser which were the only ones I playtested thoroughly.

We found out that it's probably caused by the GPUPartiles3D rotation during mutating so a clunky workaround would be to not move during mutating. Could you tell me if it was the linux build you played? I might take it down and let linux players play in browser until the end of jam instead.

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for playing, Exxiey!

I enjoyed your game even more than slay the spire. Especially the music is absolutely terrific! Such a shame it stopped playing after about 5-10 minutes into the game :(

Right after posting this I thougt: wow this guy is really good, I should follow him or something. That's when I realised I already watched dozens of your youtoube videos and was kind of inspired by you to join another GWJ lol. Hope to see a devlog about making of this game!

This really reminded me of the good old flash games! I would add coyotte time to make the jump feel more forgiving.

Super cool game! However, I kind of didn't understand why I couldn't access yellow portals and pass yellow barriers when I was yellow.

I must say I really liked your game but I had a couple of issues which decreased the level of satisfaction throughout my play and could help you take the game  even further: Honestly, I hate timed events and the ones  in your game didn't even give me enough time to read the options. I suggest that you remove them or at least make them a bit longer. The basic attack feels quite unresponsive - my suggestion would be maybe to add a semi-transparent part of circle that follows the direction of the mouse and that way the player sees where their attacks will land. Also I never knew how close to the enemies could I be to not take damage and it felt quite unfair when I took damage even when I was just close to them.

Hope this helps to push your game further or take into account in your next ones!

While playtesting, I think I eliminated all softlocks - either the solution was too hidden or I missed the one you encountered :( But you are right that I might have gone the route "figure it yourself" a little too much. Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Loved the art style and the overall vibe of the game! Though the gameplay felt a bit clunky as it wasn't always clear what to do and I found the font kind of hard to read. Otherwise you did an amazing job on this one and wish you a lot of luck on your future projects!

Appreciate the pleasant feedback! Gonna check out your submission right after returning home :)

That's a GOTY nominee for sure!!

Saw your game on discord and was absolutely stunned by the visuals of your game - especially the sky! Apart from that, I loved how the music progressed as I climbed the tower and also the characters along the way made me chuckle with their little gossips :D I was too lazy to read the controls in the game page, so obviously I struggled to finish the game at first lol. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for playing and for the pleasant feedback!

What an outstanding entry!

Thanks for playing! I wish we had more time to focus on the spawn progression because it definitely is quite annoying :(

I love Balatro.

Cool game! I especially enjoyed the shuriken mechanic. Next time I would add a coyotte jump to make the controls even more satisfying!

Great game!! Next time I would probably ask someone to playtest your game because I also feel like it is maybe too hard (or we are just too bad lol). Otherwise very satisfying controls, keep up the good work!!

Super cool game!! Some buildings occasionally didn't show their sprite (defense) but I guess that's just part of the "unseen" theme :DD

Great game! Especially the visual effects are top-class!! I just felt a bit annoyed by having to click my mouse repeatedly to be able to move further - maybe longer echolocation would help? Or an option to use it automatically?

Apart from jumping and farting the game included also collecting bells - truly unplayable!! Jk, it's a great game but it feels like the theme was implemented only after the start of the development and next time I would probably take more time to plan out the project rather than jumping straight into it .  Otherwise good job!! Wish you luck on your game dev journey!!!

Loved the music a lot and the game is fun too! I feel like the theme could correspond better - maybe your money could produce electricity for lamps which would elimiinate the unseen parts?

Excellent story telling, terrific art style and awesome soundtrack!! Wish the game was a bit longer but even this much content is a lot for 9 days. Great game!

Great game! Both the artstyle and the gameplay mechanics are terrific! I just feel like the soundtrack loop could be a little longer because it sounds very repetitive - maybe just duplicate the same loop and change one or two notes to keep the ears engaged!

Hey thanks for playing, w e're glad you enjoyed the game! I actually wanted to focus on the balancing part more after adding two more powerups (faster reload and larger lights) but after an exhausting debug session I just wanted to submit and not touch the code anymore xDd Gonna check yours right away!
