exactly. Especially those that paid extra for it. What's annoyed me even more is Itch.io's support team couldn't be bothered to even respond to my email regarding this. Disappointing to be honest.
It was $10 and some of us paid $20 for the "Founders edition" To have our names put in the game... It doesn't bother you no... But I work with a LOT of indie devs who price their stuff way cheaper, Emika games, chilla arts, hitori de games, Tony shoulders. All like 50% time> money ratio. Also... For those who got lied to... Just makes them not want to trust Itch.io and other devs. If this was on steam it would have been refunded.... But it's not... Which is why he clearly used this platform... Disgusting knowing what he's doing.
Really.... Most 1 hour long horror games are like $3-4 dollars now for that, let alone random indie titles... Emika games, Chilla arts... Supernatural, supernormal.... This puts a bad name to indie horror devs. Guy should be ashamed of himself!

Being real : If this was on steam i'd have got my $20 back but since it's on this platform, nothing you can do.
Argue "Its only $5." All you want... But it leaves a sour taste in many of our mouths being lied to for one. Secondly for those genuine indie horror devs on here, who charge like $2 or above for their game... People will just not pay and do it for free due to the lack of trust in their games.
The arguement of "1 hour for $10." Na... That's not good. Emika games, Chilla arts, JustTomCGames,HitoriDeGames, TonyShoulders and many others charge less for 2-3 times the ammount of gameplay, are finished, and polished, also just good games in general.
Just hurts me as a streamer when people like this abuse the platform and gives others devs a bad name.

End of the day OP is correct, it's been a year and a lot of promises were made.... With no responde from Adam himself of emails from myself and many others in this comment section and the fact that he hasnt posted for MONTHS when the game will acc be released given people have PAID FOR this in full!
I feel this. I paid about $25 total, which was at the time, to get my name included in the credits.... Never heard back from him funny enough, and multiple people had the same. Over a year since this was "nearly there." With no word back. Honestly think it's a con at this point and I've wasted $25.
I paid extra for the game and sent my name to be included in part 2... Heard nothing back, only sent an extra $15 but still... Money is money 🤷♂️. let me know if he responds to you please.
