HI, just started playing this on my Jag GameDrive and it's a great version of Donkey Kong, but I spotted quite a big bug...

When you lose your last life, the game appears to hang, but it's actually waiting for you to enter your initials if you got a hiscore. But the game doesn't put anything on-screen to show you what letters you're entering. I took a video to show what happens when you die. I ended up pressing B a few times and it entered AAA into the hiscore table, but gave no indication that it had done so. It does work if you use left and right to select other letters but the game doesn't show you're selecting them.

I've tried it on BigPemu as well and this problem happens there too.

Just recently got a Lynx Gamedrive and gave this a go tonight. Incredibly impressive, difficult but beatable (as I did after a few goes) and is the basis for an excellent full game if you decide to take it further!

This is such  a cool match 3, works great on the Lynx! I’d love to see a full colour version just so it didn’t strain my eyes to differentiate between the icons 😂

I’ve actually played that but forgot about it haha you’re absolutely right! 

This just keeps looking better and better! In addition to the Knight Lore/Head Over Heels vibes, I’m also getting Movie feelings when I see the characters pulling objects around now!

Can I just say that I think you might have more luck at getting people to download your games if you include actual screenshots and, ideally, videos of the gameplay?

There's no way I'm throwing a couple of bucks down on something where I have no idea what it actually looks or plays like on Playdate...

I didn't play the previous demo but this version feels perfectly playable - a good speed for moving but not too fast, and I killed the skull creatures no problem.

Also, I love the title screen song, it reminds me of the Boulet Brothers' music, which may or may not mean anything to you! But I mean that as an absolute compliment :)

Looking forward to this, like the headline says this looks like a cool word game!

I absolutely did play it more than once! And I'll try it again with the latest update :D

Haha! Played it semi-darkness with a small lamp on...and really enjoyed it! Tried it twice and got the bad and good ending, though was told that I'd cheated during the good ending so not sure if I did something wrong?

Love the smooth animations, really nicely done in Pulp, and the courtroom scene is beautifully drawn!

This is cool but there's a bit of a bug when you try to move through the main maze diagonally down-left - the square gets stuck instead of sliding along the wall, which makes moving a bit stickier than it should be.

Also, when going into a castle, the original jumps you into the castle as soon as you move into the open portcullis, whereas in your version you have to keep moving off the top of the screen.

Other than that, great version of the easy mode!

I'm not very good at this yet but I like the speed of the knight for the same reasons Ryan mentioned. Very much enjoying this!

I love these changes, makes it feel like you’re progressing between levels and games :D 

Hi, I think you’ve compiled the game using a beta SDK as it’s asking me to update my Playdate’s firmware even though I’m on the latest main release. 

I bought Jezzak after reading your comment as I love Qix style games. And you’re right, it’s really good! However, this game offers a slower, more thoughtful version in my opinion which is also really enjoyable.

The only thing I’d like is a pause when your game ends before starting the next one to review your score vs the hiscore.

That really does help, thanks very  much for the explanation! I've still not had that much time but I'm a few holes in and enjoying the story :)

I haven’t played much yet (just got past a couple of strokes) and I’m enjoying the story but I have a question!

The icons are really small and there’s no explanation for what they do. Should I be picking the icon nearest to the hole or can pick any one to get more information?

And if you’d like a hand with putting in apostrophes and quote marks then just let me know :) it would make the text easier to read in places. 

Thanks very much! They're pretty simple (mostly done to see if I could get back into coding, and Pulp is a nice, easier entry back into it) but I think there's some fun to be had in them!

I saw your update about the upcoming Catalog release of FBIC and the Itch update, looking forward to playing more of it, it's a great game :)

When I sideload this it tells me I need a system update but the Playdate says I’m up-to-date. Does your game need the latest beta operating system to install?

For this jam I had hoped to restart a project that I've been working on for a while, but life has got in the way so it's taking a bit longer than I hoped! However, it's almost there, I just need to tweak a few things and then it'll be uploaded...

Nice! I liked the code on the window puzzle as it took me a minute or two to realise that one!

This is so impressive for a Pulp game, my only quibble is that I feel there should be no delay in initial movement if you keep a directional button pressed, and there’s a slight delay here… :P and I know you can set that in Pulp :)

This is really nice! I like the gentle puzzling so far, a great introduction to the setting with hints of backstory, and I'm looking forward to the full game with trickier puzzles :)

Hi, the game crashes the Playdate as soon as it's run, not sure what's going wrong with it!

The screenshots are looking so impressive! Great work, can't wait to play it :)

I'm still fairly rubbish at this, but it's a brilliant game and the highlights option definitely doesn't hurt :D
