Have you considered that this is just a demo, and my first foray into game development? I need time for things like animations, expressions, etc. I'm currently learning Spine2D to add some life, but the first update already brought some of it. It won't be a AAA production after a few months of development. I encourage you to wait before calling anything a "slop", as everything takes time.
