But it asked me for this permission while the game wasn't active. I was setting up a work zoom call and this popup appeared.

Be careful, this app looks like spyware.
While I was configuring browser permissions for remote conferencing, I got a popup saying Pikuniku would like to read input from your keyboard. I clicked Deny. Because Pikuniku has no business doing any such thing
This is on OSX. Check under System Preferences, Security and Privacy, Privacy, Input Monitoring and delete it!
