I'm so happy you enjoyed the game :) Christian Minges did a wonderful job bringing the grandpa character to life with his voice. Thanks so much for playing the game.

I'm glad you enjoyed parts of the game experience :) As for the voice acting, i had instructed the voice actor Christian Minges, to use gender neutral wording, so the player could be more immersed as the grandchild of the story. And I'm really happy that you found the audio tutorial immersive. And while the gameplay was rather simplistic, I have been happy to read all the lovely comments about people enjoying the immersive experience of the game. Thank you so much for the extensive feedback 🌟

I'm so happy you enjoyed the game and even replayed it :)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the game so much and that it brought up nice memories :) The voice actor Christian Minges did a amazing job making the grandpa come to life in the audio of the game.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the game :) Christian Minges did a wonderful job voicing the grandpa for this game. And I'm happy you enjoyed the menu voiced by me.

I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed the game and story :)

Ya, the game is rather limited in its game actions. While it is possible that more freedom could be added. This project in particular, was only made in 2 weeks, so its rather limited in scope. Although, I am glad you liked the style of the game :)

Glad you enjoyed it :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the game concept :) The game pacing could use some tweaking, but for a game made in 2 weeks, it seems to have turned out decently, especially with my level of coding skills lol. And the voice actor Christian Minges did a great job making the grandpa connect with the audience. But overall I'm just really happy to hear about so many people enjoying the game, its very heartwarming experience for me.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game and it made you smile :) The story is definitely set at a slower pace. The overall feeling i was going for, was a grandpa helping the next generation to survive the wilds of there world that has monsters, but still enjoying time with his grandchild while he is living out his later years of life. And Christian Minges did a spectacular job bringing the grandpa character to life.

I'm really glad you enjoyed the game :) The story is slower, but that's mostly because of my coding skills 😭, so there are things that definitely could be adjusted in the game. And Christian Minges did an excellent job voice acting for this game.

I'm happy you enjoyed the game :) The audio is is positional. So each side of the boat generates that directions sounds, so you have 4 directions where sound comes from. And Christian Minges did the wonderful voice acting for this game.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the game :) The voice of the grandpa was voiced by an actual voice actor Christian Minges. I just did the menu voice and the coding.

Great game with a fun sense of humor :) Although the third minigame was the hardest for me to understand, but i was able to complete the game. And I'm happy to see a fellow GDevelop entry too.

I took your feedback and used it to update the game. Hopefully it will make it better for everyone to play. :)

Thank you

I put out an update, so hopefully most of the issues were fixed. Let me know if anything else bugs out in the game.

Ok, so i pushed out an update for the game. Let me know if that fixed the issue for you.

I'm so happy you enjoyed the game. I did not expect people to spam the space bar button (my fault), so I'm trying to make a patch for that issue right now. And thank you again for the wonderful feedback. :)

Part of the issue may be the button spam. Does pressing the space bar just once solve the issue? Because each audio trigger has a timer before it sets off the next one. So it may be bugging out from be pressed more than once in quick succession.

Sorry the game bugged out. I'll look into it to see if i can fix that.

Sorry that the game was bugging out. I'll try to see what i can do to fix it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the story voiced by Mr Minges. He did a wonderful job. And I tried my best to make sure the audio was consistently directional.

It's more of a story game, not meant to be challenging. Its mostly just a variety system to give some difference, not any real change in difficulty.

I'm so happy you enjoyed the game! Although the game is kinda short, i hope the random encounter system provides some variety of an experience for you.

I really enjoyed the achievements in this game, and i like the art style too :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the visuals :)  And i think this project has some future potentle, even if only a mini game.

Nice mini game :)  I particularly like the pixel art.

Neat gameplay and a fun word puzzler :)

Glad you enjoyed the aesthetics and thank you for the kind words. :)

Delightfully relaxing game :)

Glad you like the aesthetics of the game :) I worked hard to give it that 1940's feeling. I'm definitely going to update this game in the future to help improve it.

I totally agree the checkpoints are a must. I'm still think over weather i want to take this game jam project any further, but its definitely a possibility.

I'm happy you enjoyed the game aesthetic :) I worked really hard on making it an immersive visual experience. As for the level being longer, i ran out of time to make more levels that could have been paced better. And thank you so much for your vote of confidence of this game jam project having potential for future development. 👍

I look forward to the post jam update then :)

I only made it a few waves in total.

Glad you enjoyed the art style of the game :) I tried my best to create that World War 2 old film footage feel to it.

A nice story game 👍

Really enjoyed the videos and voice overs :)  Aiming was defiantly difficult, but i enjoyed the overall experience a lot.

So glad you enjoyed my mini RTS experience. And I'm glad someone else found the original BBC Audio as fascinating as I did :) And thank you so much for your high praise, this game is defiantly missing a lot of quality of life and main features. But to be even considered close to a "real" game is really uplifting. Thank you 💛

So glad you like the aesthetics of the game, i worked hard on making them immersive :) There are defiantly things i wanted to add but didn't have time for, but such is the nature of game jams.
