Thank you for the feedback!! You definitely make good points about the gameplay and ingredient spawn time, they just fell out of scope towards the end of the jam.

Really creative approach and interesting game! The fishing mechanic is fun, and I like the upgrades shop but I think making the bait options a bit easier to get would be nice, getting the same fish gets a little repetitive! It's satisfying finding new fish and finding an efficient strategy to catching them. Some more visual feedback in the fishing mini-game would be nice, I'd love some clearer indicators that the fish are getting "hurt" (the audio clues are fantastic, the pitch increases is a clever way to show you're getting closer), but visual clues would really sell it. Having the theme be centered around making shapes with your mouse on the screen is really nice, whether that's the transitions or game itself. Which btw, the transitions are awesome, that's such a genius minigame to include.
I am absolutely obsessed with this artwork!! What an adorable style and such cute characters, I love it. Took me a second to get the controls but honestly after that it's pretty intuitive! It's fun, and just the right amount of variability to keep it fresh. Honestly I didn't encounter any glaring bugs or issues, except that after I play plinko, the grab mechanic stops working (even after trying to click on the espresso cup). The plinko is a fun concept, but could use some UI to show if you win or lose, because it's a bit unclear since the money counter isn't always visible. Overall, loved it a bunch :]
Beautiful game, with amazing potential! Could I have some help getting through the cave though? There's a spot that looks like where I should go through... but I keep getting stuck, and I have to refresh the page since I can't get out. I'm just not sure where to go and I've tried a few times to figure it out but I just keep falling! I'd love to explore more but I just can't get past that one spot.
I had a blast playing this, it's a super polished game and really satisfying and cozy! The atmosphere and view outside the windows is such a nice touch, and I love the painting on the wall. If you were to continue with this, I'd say some more variations of customers would be nice, and a response that works for both pies and drinks would be great too. It's intuitive, satisfying to get into the movement flow, and really fun.
Super cozy premise! The food all looks great, and the visuals feel really polished. The core mechanics are good and I like the soup making process, it's just unfortunate that the bread glitch makes it really hard to get past the first order or two. I'd love some more from the cutscene -- music in the background, and the art in the cutscene feels a little low resolution. I don't mind the lack of labels actually, I think it makes you think and adds a bit of challenge, so that you learn and remember which are which. It's not too difficult to figure out which is the beef vs. chicken anyway!
Super cozy game!! :D I really liked the puzzles, it was satisfying to gradually learn the path to take! The cutscene at the start is really cute too. If i were to nitpick anything I would say the art styles could be a bit more consistent. There's different line weights and brushes for the lineart, and they make the characters and backgrounds feel a bit disconnected. That's just a small detail though, it's a beautiful game!
I'm so glad both of you enjoyed the game!! Hopefully I can help explain some things -- when you first talk to a critter, they go to a specific room in the tree. clicking on their room on the map in the top right will show their quests (both inside the tree and outside of the tree). After collecting the items they request and storing them in your bag and/or the chest in the tree, you can talk to them again with F (find their room with the top right tree map, while inside the tree) and complete the quest (and gain acorns). The "buy" signs in the tree help you complete quests by letting you buy items you're missing for 3 acorns (and there's no way to sell extra items).
There's a bit to get the hang of, so hopefully this helps :). Thanks again for playing!
Absolutely STUNNING game!!! This art is insane, I'm beyond impressed. the gameplay and environment is really crisp too, I love the idea of having a table you can turn down to to work. I also had trouble with the puzzles, but I'll just have to brute force it sometime and keep notes bc seeing all the character art is so worth it
