Yeah I like this idea, I originally scoped cards that would do damage on tiles for just 1 wave or something temporary but I just didn't get time. Good recommendation thanks :)

Wow you did like it if you made it to wave 19! Thanks for playing so much :) I think there must be a small memory leak judging by the image you attached, so I will have to take a good look (WASM/JS is constrained by browser so usually only 2gb or so). I feel like I will go ahead and build this up into a full game! Thanks! :)
Holy moly this is too big brain for me! Its a good idea, maybe its because I don't really play big brain games but it took me soooo long to get even 1 match! Maybe if you are going to build it into a full game add a simple level to start where you just need to make 1 predetermined change or something like that :) Very original though, would do well as a mobile game maybe?
TDLR: After 8 years in the industry, both small scale and AAA I was super burnt out but this jam has given me a bit of respite and joy again. Thanks for organizing it any thanks to everyone that has looked at my game so far!
Long version:
I just wanted to make a small writeup or piece about gamedev and this jam. It might help others in the same situation, and I think its good for me to write some things down.
I started game dev about 8 years ago by the gamedevtv course on C++ and Unreal. After already doing some small coding work at uni and my first job I got off to a decent start. However, like a bunch of devs I bit off way more than I could chew and tried to release a AAA game from day one. Several years of working on this game and I finally gave up, I had sunk a bunch of personal time and effort in.
Good news was then on the horizon however, I secured a job at Wargaming. Better news was then in store as we got acquired by Riot and I was suddenly in one of the best AAA companies in the industry. However, as anyone in AAA will know its a big difference from building small scoped indie titles. I enjoyed my time there but I felt like it was time to go back to what I know.
A year and a bit later and I have been struggling to gain any sort of traction whatsoever. I bounced between a few projects, then came across a roguelike car game idea which has fantastic potential but it has been a never-ending grind to get it out.
After seeing the jam I thought I would go full circle back to my roots and the gamedevtv name sparked something in me. I worked really hard on this jam and it seemed to come together so well. I built something I am really proud of in such a short amount of time, and you guys have been incredibly helpful and positive with the comments!
Thanks to everyone :)

Thanks for the detailed overview I really appreciate that! I am starting to think after the people commenting on the game it might have a future in it where I build it into a full roguelike deck builder. I have built out a bunch of TODO's from your comments that cover a bunch of the areas you talked about!
