As the title states... I'm an Indie Dev who wants to make a 3rd person horror game and am looking for an Unreal Buddy with no specific experience... just as long as they're EXCITED TO MAKE THE MOST AMAZING GAME!!

MAXWELL is a horror game following 22-year-old woman, Maxwell Placzek, as she struggles to escape a ruined experimental facility. Once run by sadistic directors, the lab lies in chaos after an invasion by interdimensional monsters. Locked in her bay with limited food supplies and a lonely terminal, she becomes desperate to escape!

Note: I have little experience with Unreal, so working with another partner would divide the workload a little bit.

At first, the game was really hard, but it only took me 1min30sec to get the hang of it. Eventually, I got into a flow and it felt really nice. Almost like the feeling I get when playing Mirror's Edge. Great job!

Admittedly, I did cut off your ending since is was hard to track what the story was with the girl. Questions I had were, "How did she die?", "How does she live in the computer?", "What changed after I brought the cake to the friend?". Keep up the good work though, I loved the theme and ambience, especially that one scene where it was really creepy for a second (with the candy animation), then it cut back to a really happy game. At first, it was really difficult to grasp the sensitivity and aim. But after 12 attempts of getting >10 seconds, I was able to finish the game in just a little under two minutes. However, I did pick having an extra 2 seconds to the flashlight, which I think was a massive help. I loved the fluidity of combat during that time as well. The music was awesome too! Keep up the good work!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! I enjoyed the pacing since each day wasn't too stressed, and I was motivated to repeat the tasks to have dialogue with the rat! The dining literally gave me goosebumps and a jumpscare! Great job!!

SCREW THAT JOB!! It was so slow and boring, I assume that's what you were going for, but I hated working so much that I just slept for 13 days straight. Maybe make working a little more fun??? If you plan to make this a full release, I would recommend seeing what makes Stick RPG 1 or 2 fun (2 is better though). When I played them, it was actually fun waking up early, going to the gym to box, and work at a coffee shop till 5pm, just to go back to my apartment to sleep. I would do that for 30 days straight. Eventually, I would accrue enough money to buy weapons, go on dates, buy toilet paper at Walmart, etc. Keep up the good work!

Very spooky, I was not expecting to be chased around by evil mannequins and jumped when I died unexpectedly. Sadly, I didn't finish the game since I got frustrated and am not very good with movement. It was on me though. If you do plan to make a full-feature game, here's what I'd recommend: 

1. Increase enemy visibility -- Either increase the store's brightness or increase the flashlight range. The current range is too short to make out enemies in time, and if your flashlight picks them up you're most likely already dead. Since that wasn't very helpful I mostly just squinted at the screen.

2. Enemy boundary detection -- Not a biggie, but an enemy phased through one of the clothes racks.

3. Checkpoints? -- For some noobs like me, adding a checkpoint at the bag location would be easier to repeat instead of having to walk through the entire store at first.

I do like the biker story going on. It's a unique approach to these types of games since it's mostly vulnerable store employees going through these events. In this game however it's a tough biker on a time crunch! Which made me feel like, "I DON'T GOT TIME FOR THIS, CARL'S WAITING FOR ME OUTSIDE AND I'M LATE TO MY MEETING!".
