Thank you very much for playing for writing this feedback - this is very valuable!
Indeed, many have said it's not obvious what one should do there when starting. I think I will be solved in the next update.
The bucket has modes where you can choose which bugs you want to pick up - so maybe that mode was changed and that stopped you from picking some bugs up. There are modes because the bugs do damage differently to the potatoes AND the big ones also can create more larvae if left on potatoes for too long, that's why one would maybe prefer to pick up the adult bugs first, but of course I have to communicate all this stuff better (or at all :D) in the game.

Indeed I wanted to add some automation tools as well, hopefully the additional smashing tools and upgrades will bring more purpose to the smashing and make the game a bit more interesting.

I guess I may not be the most prolific incremental enjoyer, but I do like them very much. And I did like this game very much - how it felt and how it looked.  What I don't understand why some people complains about too much clicking in a game like this. Clicking is what I personally expect of this type of game and it's the work that must be done for a reward to feel satisfying, at least in my opinion. I hope I will have the time to come back to this game again and continue it.

My god, I am so glad I haven't seen this game before and I playing it was my first experience with it. Even though the name hints at it, for some reason I so did not expect THIS! This stuff actually made me laugh. Was not able to play it through atm, but I might come back to this

I really dieded =[

As I was checking it out really quickly and wasn't paying too much attention at the beginning I didn't really understand too well what I was doing. But the thing is, the looks of it and everything in it, got me hooked a bit and from then on I started to get what I am doing as well. I will definitely get back to this later, there is really something in this!

Wow, what a cute character! Would love to see more screenshots

Hey, with some better looks, this might get some more attention from me in the future!

What a nice story! I can really relate to this devlog as my daughter is #1 tester for my current game. Who knows maybe someday she will help me with some art assets as well :D

Wow, this is so good and the music is fitting soo well!

Well, there isn't really a reason behind it, it's pretty much just the bounding box for collisions, movement and stuff, I should definitely make it invisible :D

Thanks a lot for the comment! Sound is definitely an important part, even the most silly sound effects can make the game feel more complete and make you forget about other details that are lacking.

Thanks a lot for the comment. Quite a big update will be uploaded in in no more than 1hour.

Similar to the experience with my own game - it get's so much better with sound effects even if they are simple. I've never heard of this engine, but it seems simple enough for me to take a closer look at it :D

While visually the game seems very simple, I have to say that the controls feels the most responsive of all the games posted here :D I just wish there were at least one more type of enemy or the speed and amount of them would get so overwhelming that it get's challenging.

The controls were indeed a bit slippery, but I guess it just gives the charm to the game :D I actually laughed out loud when I saw the first enemy. The only annoying part was how hard it was to climb stairs. But overall super impressive that it's made on self made engine.

Hmm, shouldn't take any damage from the ground as there is nothing that would trigger it, but the bounding box of the "character" might not correspond with the animation of it, so it may seem sometimes that there is a hit where it shouldn't have been. Maybe I'll think of way how to make those things more precise in the next update.

Will definitely try out how the controls feel with the turning instead of strafing.

Thank you very much for the comment! A big update coming out tonight, which will make the virus evasion a bit more dynamic as speed up and slow down control will be available, also the the collision bounds will be much closer to the actual blood cell, longer level, pause, glitch fixes and other things.

Will do

I will use UPBGE which is an open-source, 3D game engine forked from the old Blender Game Engine. I found out about it's existence just yesterday and it was nice to see that the old and dead BGE has been revived, kept alive and updated by someone. Will be interesting to see if I will be able to come up with something better with it than I was 12 years ago.
