Game Review – Ezmore’s Crystals

I like how this is game is quite simple and easy to understand. Your able to have fun while playing, but still comprehend the rules and abide by them. Overall, I thought the game was well designed however, sometimes my sprite would get stuck, and I couldn’t move forward. There were a few minor lags, but besides that, I felt there was a lot of freedom in this game and the objective of defeating the goblins was good. The different avatars or sprites had a nice design that was fitting to the overall idea and theme of the game. The sound in Ezmore’s Crystals was very well done. The music and sound effects went along with the game play and really helped to move the story along. Although it was a straightforward game and story, the sound added a level of enjoyment and excitement while playing. It was also consistent and accurate throughout. The layout is also great. There are different types of weapons and armor choices, things you can use to kill the goblins.

The main setup is very helpful. There are tutorials available for beginners, and an instructions video that you can choose to watch, before the game starts. It really makes sure you know how to play and will do well once you enter the actual game. Once you start playing, you won’t need these videos anymore, as you can get the hang of it quickly. There are also different levels, so as you get better, you can move up in ranking and choose to make the game harder. You’ll start off as a peasant and the final level is a lord, where your given more enemies/villains to fight. The controls for this game are the different keys on your keyboard. To move each way, the arrow keys might’ve been useful, but it was still a good design. I enjoyed playing Ezmore’s Crystals and would take part in another game, possibly at a higher level.

 Final Score – 4/5
