Now let me give you the something:

In 0.24, we voted for Ophelia content, which he took the vote result. 3 months into development he announced that the content was cut and update was to delay. After a strong (I emphasize on strong) negative feedback he agreed to add it back, at cost of another 3 months of delay and Alice got removed.

At 0.24 release he promised again that 0.25 would be swift and supplemented whatever cut from 0.24. Which never happened. 0.25 was neither swift nor anything that he has set up expectations for. There is no Alice (he even changed the title, interestingly), Nora line incomplete, the nurse line(whatever her name) still crashes.

You praise your jesus and saviour however you please if you're not paying.  I don't care, because now I am with you now and will too stop paying.

I subscribed for over $80, and I voice up for my customer right by stop subscribing after being scammed for one year that is a few dozen of bucks paid to only get 3 or 4 lame excuses that can't even keep consistency in their own facts, plus a mediocre "content" that entirely defied all the "votes" and "opinions" he pretended to gather.

Am I just doing a bit more than someone who tried to defend a fraud creator just because they received something for free?

  • 7 months for 0.24 from 0.23, with content cut and promised in 0.25 with quick delivery
  • another 7 months for 0.25 from 0.24, with none of the promised content and whatever it delivers is not more than an hour of gameplay
  • 5000 patrons btw

This is definitely one of the best (or better) adult games out there with some actual gameplay and decent character models. While I definitely recommend giving it a try, here's a checklist of things you should probably be aware:

  • you might not like the plot for what it is. The dominant motivation of the MC throughout the story is basically to jerk off to every female he sees. This works for an adult game that's primarily for... well, jerking off, but it honestly gets lame at some point.
  • The minigames are mostly unfun and repetitive chores which you're only doing them because they are the only means to progress quests.
  • Render quality is fluctuating especially in newer contents. There are some screens that look like 480p resolution or lower.
  • Update is extremely unstable since 2024. 0.24 got delayed a few times and was delivered with cut content. 0.25 was promised to ship in a month time with the said cut content but it has still not landed after another 3-4 months.

There was a progress update a few days back but I'm not interested in investing a few bucks just to read an excuse. It's quite worrying of how this game is going but it already has ~5-8 hours of content right now.

For projects of this scale they should've just gone to platforms like kickstarter. The problem with Patreon as a longer-term fund-as-you-develop platform is that none of the parties gets any guarantee.

Patreon is meant for regular content delivery like podcasts, video clips or illustrations. If your game is not able to deliver substantial updates at least on a quarterly basis then Patreon is a really bad idea for raising funds.

(1 edit)

It has some history but the dev is back onto it and released an update in Dec.

ok so here's the history.

the dev had a... rather unfriendly conversation with their player base on F95 and the game was considered terminated after the dev clearly stated they would discontinue.

The game had little to no significant update since last year and the dev posted more ads than actual work on patreon.

I'm not saying there's no chance the game will come back alive - since the main dispute was still about money - but I suggest don't put too much faith in it and also in the dev's attitude.

There's fairly adequate bug-free content to keep you playing for 5-7 hours (depending on whether you care about the plot) but expect no ending because this is confirmed an abandoned work on F95.

You can't publish your game on steam if you make scenes with any Illusion games. You're technically not meant to use the contents commercially due to licensing/copyright stuff but I don't think Illusion ever cared about it (and I don't think they ever disallow it).

If you feel it's a concern, consider daz3d or maya.

I think it's because the game's made with Honey Select 2 and Illusion doesn't particularly allow people to use the contents commercially.

I don't think Illusion has ever filed a case (in fact I don't even think they explicitly state anywhere that they don't allow it) but the possiblity alone will make steam reject any VNs that are made with Illusion games.

You can unlock all scenes in one playthrough (at least until 0.5). For the main girls you must not have them greyed out (by making a wrong choice  etc) otherwise you can't enter their romantic paths anymore.

I think the one that's easily missed out is when you first log in to Eternum and Annie is away, you can choose to hang around to unlock a scene. The rest are all pretty obvious when they come.
