I understand how rough it's been lately for you, and I do appreciate all the effort you've been putting into this game. I'm sorry that you've had to deal with broken records lately, though, they're a nuisance (I'm afraid that's the lightest I can say it).

While I also hope that it's possible that the update comes out this month, I want to say that you should take as much time with it as you deem necessary. I'd certainly would like to see this update at its best when it comes out! I'll admit that the upcoming sex scenes have gotten me excited for this update, though!

Personally speaking, though, I certainly don't mind waiting a bit longer of it comes to it. Between Guild Wars 2, Tales of Xillia Remastered, Persona 3 Reload, and Kirby Air Riders, I have a lot of games that will hold my attention until then.

No, it does not. Maybe someday, but definitely not in the coming months, or even longer.

Not sure if you've seen it yet, but there have been a few instances in this very comment section where a strange user posts some strange comment promoting some mysterious game that they claim is available on Patreon and is perfectly safe to download. However, there are multiple telltale signs that it would result in someone being scammed should they click on that link.

At least, that's what I think. I'm not exactly willing to risk my identity to find out, you see.

With all due respect, I don't envy your position of having to deal with these bots. Ever since that notorious NSFW crackdown itch io did a few months back, I've noticed that the bots have multiplied like rabbits, and the situation's seemingly been exacerbated hundredfold.

I do really hope it's not taking too much out of you.

Unfortunately, no one knows, and even then, I'm afraid you're going to be waiting for a while. I just found out that one of the devs is going through something debilitatingly serious, and there's no telling if he'll recover.

The only thing we can do now is hope...

That's great! I'm also going to get the game, but sadly, the waiting's the bad part--the release date seems so far away...

Ah well, at least for me, I'll also be getting these games along the way to help me pass the time. (Don't get me wrong, I think they're fun as well!)

To answer your question, the devs stated that in each update, they will advance all characters' routes at once. This means it will take much more time to release an update, but all changes will be available once the update goes live.

They cannot do one-by-one route updates, as I'm quite sure that the tighter schedules that come from that would likely stress them out unnecessarily.

Oh, thanks for responding, Roda! I get that there are plenty of people out there who are understandably nervous about this whole occurrence, but to be honest, it's rather refreshing to see you aren't giving up just yet.

Hopefully the devs will still have the fortitude to continue developing this game (though the circumstances will no doubt sting badly), but in terms of places to access this game, it's anybody's guess.

The whole situation's a convoluted mess, and that's putting it lightly, if you ask me. I'm also hoping for any nuance of a sort of change or solution to this, but something's telling me we aren't gonna see a resolution to this for a while.

...If there ever is one, that is.

The answer to your question is yes. Since Ren'Py likes being a bastard to save files that are one update behind (or any older versions, for that matter), you're gonna have to download and start from the beginning each time a new update comes out. I know it can be bothersome, but you're gonna have to power through it.

Sure, this VN may be light on the NSFW stuff as of this writing, but wait 'til next update.

You'd be surprised because...

The main character will actually get in on it fully with his date.

The devs already said that dating multiple people at once is out of the question, or rather, an impossibility. I wouldn't expect it to be implemented in the future, if at all.

The devs said a while back that they do not have the experience or the resources necessary to translate the game into another language. And even if they did and are willing, you might be waiting quite some time before we can get something feasible.

In short, it's all up in the air.

There already is an option. During the three times you are asked to save the game (consider them as checkpoints), there will be a button at the bottom of the screen that says Skip Current Bout. That will allow you to skip through the scenes.

However, the court scenes after the third checkpoint involve the Main 6 (Leo, Jin, Joseph, Ridge, Koku and Runan). I recommend not skipping through that part, since dialogue vastly differs between the six dateables.

Here are a few questions regarding that:

1. On Day 4, have you decided to let the situation be instead of asking him again?
2. On Day 5, have you asked Jin if you wanted to see where he lives?

These two areas can get people confused, but if you do this, you'll be able to spend three days with Jin and allow you to go down his path.

While I do appreciate you sharing imaginative ideas, I remember the devs saying that romancing two characters at once just isn't feasible, as it would require dramatic changes in storyline, engagements with other characters...pretty much almost everything in the game, really.

And as one would expect, such changes would eat up time and resources, perhaps unnecessarily.

I...wouldn't get your hopes up, if I were you.

You are supposed to spend three days with the villager of your choice.

For example, if you wish to go down Ridge's path, choose Ridge's icon on the days he is available. You cannot, unfortunately, spend time with all of the villagers in one go, so you'll have to choose.

Oh man, this update sure was heavy on the emotions. Witnessing all of those events made my heart feel heavy, but man, it's a testament to how good the story is so far. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the Scriviner continues to become closer to each of the True Wyverians!

This may be me going off on my own thoughts, but I'm still not sure why I keep imagining the Scriviner saying something like this somewhere in the story, though.  Maybe in an alternate time...?

I assume you're...excited, right? If so, you might've got me in the first half.

Hmm, now that you mention it, having multiple save files on hand does tend to get confusing after a while (I tend to keep one page of saves per character, but even I had a feeling that wouldn't be enough). A way to differentiate them might help.

But I think it's got me wondering about another thing:

With how far along the story is now, it kinda makes me wonder if a Chapter Select system could be implemented, if that's even remotely possible...

If it's due to the heavy emotions lingering in the air, I certainly understand. But if we are to see Leo, Jin, Joseph, Ridge, Koku and Runan smile again, then you know what must be done...

I know I can't speak for the devs, but I think I remember them mentioning that they likely don't have the resources nor the experience to translate the game into another language as of yet.

Even if they could, you might find yourself waiting longer than you would expect, if at all.

I'm sure we can develop a much grander rapport with Garu in Koku's path.

But... Well, umm... Considering that Garu's significantly older than Koku, scenes of intimacy with the father might be pushing it... Joseph notwithstanding.

I remember them saying hopefully by the end of this week, so you might not have to wait long.

You mean the very first CG?  I think that means in Chapter 1, you'll have to spend all three days with Jin. Assuming you've made all the right choices, you'll see a special event that should unlock the CG.

They already said that they might look into making more save files once they finish the main story, so don't you worry about that.

I hate to break it to you, but Leo, Jin, Joseph, Ridge, Koku and Runan are the only ones we can get close to. I'm pretty sure adding another character route would require a lot more time and work as it would drastically alter the story and any other events that occur.

And let's not forget that they would require their own CGs, and all that other stuff since they have their own unique histories, personalities, and many other factors.

So yeah, as far as the game itself and the development process goes, I can't really see any additional routes being added, even if it were somehow possible. But one can imagine, right?

Oh, I assure you that they're still there. They might be quite active on Twitter, for what it's worth.

Look, I would like to see the next update as much as the next person, but the devs have got their hands full with things going on in their daily lives, if you haven't heard.

So just be patient for a little while longer, okay? I'm sure they're doing their best.

Yeah, it certainly is, and there's even an 18+ warning (though there are no...spicy scenes as of yet). Even the devs themselves said as such, so I wouldn't recommend playing this game if you're not old enough or if you are averse to NSFW content.
