Greetings! Your lovable princess, Shocky-hime, here.  (That intro was probably more suited for my 16-year-old self....)

After having missed the first jam, and having stuff come up that resulted in a truly sub-par substitute last year (at least it was something?), I began to think of a simpler project, something which was truly within my scope of completion (while knowing full well that I may not finish it still, with work and all). To that end, I was reluctant to join without something to show. It's far from playable, but at least I began working on the script!

Now, for the story/gameplay summary:

You take the role of Mia, an enthusatic cosplayer trying to meet up with her girlfriend, Rhiannon, at this year's LilyCon. (Turns out my first idea, "Yuricon," was taken.) Lost in the convention hall, you must navigate the crowds in a manner similar to old text-based adventure games, walking your own path to find your beloved in time. Along the way, distractions make occur, which may cost you time (but possibly reward you in other ways), though some distractions occur only at specific times. Take your chances and wander the crowd, and remember that it's okay to fail the first few times!

Update 2017-09-13:
Fun fact: I first used Ren'Py over ten years ago (or thereabouts) and I was basing this script off the samples I found online and my fuzzy memory. Turns out, the current version of Ren'Py is radically different (it uses hexcodes instead of RGB, for just one difference), so now I have to relearn this system from scratch. Oh, well! Gotta get on that.

Update 2017-09-17:
Ren'Py script finally sorted, and the structural skeleton has been implemented and tested, fixing the handful of errors I accidently made while creating sixteen very similar menus. Now you're able to go "North/South/East/West" from your current section of the map to the next, without trouble. Now to continue the actual scenario writing.
