I’ll add a zip file with all the mp3’s later 👍
When I eventually do, please credit me if you use them for something cool!
That ending is just eeeeevil man! The gameplay is actually pretty similar to what I had in mind for a full version of my submission LOL
I enjoyed the background music and I found the buzzes so clever for the dialogue sfx. Considering this is an english translation I found most of the dialogue to come off as very natural!
Thank you for the feedback! I really wanted to make something that wouldn’t break mid way through so I didn’t add as much as I’d like…
For a full release I definitely want to add more sections in between card sections (letting players find out info more naturally through the environment), and specific card abilities depending on the image (eg flipping a star would cause a twinkle that shines on all space related cards).
Unfortunately I just didn’t have time to implement it all… But I still felt the need to have some sort of progression in the game, so I tried making the card section’s difficulty match the information you’d receive afterward. Thanks for playing regardless!
Lost where the forest would grow, Glorpevious followed the box manufacturing plant. Oh the poor Glep…
Na but in all seriousness this was such a cute game! I loved the implementation of Glorp learning more about the world through various sound frequencies, and how this reflected in gameplay as more sounds could be heard through the various discoveries.
For a relatively new developer this is VERY impressive stuff!
The sound design in this game is superb! The ui/gameplay also feels incredibly responsive and I quite enjoy the ambient sounds in the background. The presentation really helped me lock in and carried me to round 14 (I WAS SO CLOSE AJHKHKAOSK)! As others have said having a wider variety of totems, buffs or debuffs would be AMAZING for replayability but even the demo alone is incredibly impressive to me!
This is pretty impressive! The inventory/shop UI was sooooooo satisfying to use. Stuff like the item descriptions were also a really nice touch to add! The sound effects fit wonderfully but I do think the music looping over and over gets a bit tiring. I really liked the story and player movement but the combat was a bit clunky imo The only thing I want (that you could have reasonably added in a month) is a RUN BUTTON!!! lol
Ah, that makes a bit more sense. I’m currently working on fixing some of the web version issues, but overall, it’s not my top priority. I’m mainly looking to move on from this update and focus heavily on player movement and creating some fun gameplay mechanics. Thanks for the kind words regardless! Hopefully a future update will address this issue.
Thanks for playing! Which version of the game were you playing when this happened? The web version is a SERIOUS downgrade in terms of load times, sound effects etc, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if issues popped up on there. If you were playing the Windows version, could you give me a quick play-by-play of what led to the crash?
