Right now, I'm calling the game TaskBarDefence (though it's just a working title). Yes, it sounds a lot like Task Bar Hero, and I’ll gladly admit it was inspired by it. I was at work and wanted to run something in the background that wouldn't demand too much of my attention. Then it hit me: 'Hey, I can build something like this too!' Especially now that we have AI to help me figure out the coding parts I don't fully understand yet.
Hi everyone! I'm 34, from Kazakhstan, and ever since I first touched a PC as a kid, I’ve dreamed of creating programs and games. I always thought I’d build my life around it. After high school, I applied to study programming, but the class didn't get enough students, so they moved us to Information Systems (promising it was the exact same thing, just with a slight focus on economics). I graduated, kept studying coding on my own, and yet... I've spent most of my career working as a system administrator for various companies.
But a few days ago, I decided it was finally time to actually build something, put my work out there for people to see, and find support from like-minded folks. So, here I am!
