Sounds like you downloaded the webGL file, so that's not going to work. Here, just download it from STEAM, I'm abandoning ITCH.IO anyway, gives off real "sinking ship" vibes lately...
I'm glad you liked it! Spime has been remade 3 times ( this was the 3rd ) there was a 3rd person 3D one, and a 2D side scrolling one Markiplier player like a million years ago. An old one your audience might enjoy is "The Littlest Penguin" which has a pretty large amount of death :)
1) Download the game, extract it . That means double click on the .zip folder and drag the compressed folder INSIDE onto your desktop or something. 2) Doing this will cause your computer to pop up a progress bar as it extracts if you did it right. 3) Open the folder after extracting and run the exe file. 4) You will probably get a notice from your computer about running an unknown .exe, this is normal, you have to select "run anyway" ( or your computer's equivalent) and the game should run automatically after that.
Nice! This Spime game was made 3 times btw, and it has a short novella adaptation on Amazon's self publishing program. Some ai guy stole it word for word, but it's out there! The 3 games take place simultaneously as different versions of events in the same story, representing different branches of outcomes that happens in the anomaly. So think reboots/remakes that exist without cancelling each other out, because it doesn't really have just one way to play out. Probably won't make it a fourth time though. Would be sick if someone made it into a movie or something
Not a bug btw, the thing about not getting killed in conversation. I programmed it that way on purpose because players would cry foul if you were just killed randomly during conversation ( and rightfully so )
Thanks for posting the video! And thanks for sharing your bug report, I'm a 1-man operation so feedback like this is the closest it comes to QA testing. I'll patch out that Stan Smith issue you described in the next update!
