Small detail, but one that bugged my inner math nerd. In the bio when it says, "limited range - aprox. 10 m2", unless I missed something, it should just be 10 m, since range is a linear measurement, and m2 would be area.

Unless you mean that it affects a 10 m2 area around the MC, in which case, it should be range of 1.78 m, or reworded to like, "limited area - aprox 10 m2 around the subject. Alternatively if you did mean area, but still meant to have able to affect someone 10 m away, then the area would be ~314 m2.

If you don't mind me asking, is there a specific reason that in particular is something that won't be added, or is it just not in your current plans?

Cause if it's the later, I will say that with the way it is now i.e. choosing your character's pronouns as an infant, without any opportunities to change them, it at least to me, heavily implies, if not outright states, that the player character can't be trans.

Like sure the MC is a changeling, but they're seemingly still being put in a body with no real choice in the matter as an infant, so it seems to just be being assigned a gender at birth with extra steps.

Question about character creation. Are there/will there be points where the player can change their character's pronouns/name, or are the ones you pick at the beginning the ones your stuck with for the whole game?

I definitely get the series of events at this point. Maybe I'm just dumb and missed it, but I guess I was just expecting a bit more of the full picture in the update.

It still seems a bit contrived that the police managed to accidentally mistake your car for evidence considering all the paperwork related to both cars and evidence, but it is definitely plausible enough to suspend my disbelief for, especially if you put accidentally in quotes.

Hey sorry to bother you with this again. I commented before about the MC's car getting impounded, and you said in the next update you would reword things to clarify what exactly happened to their car, but upon reading the updated version, it seems to basically say the exact same thing, i.e. the police found your car abandoned, impounded it and then auctioned it off.

So I'm kinda confused as to what was actually meant to be clarified. Not trying to be rude or say you did a bad job or anything, I just genuinely don't see what information is there that wasn't before.

Again sorry to bring that up again. On a more positive note, I have really liked the story so far (I realize I didn't say that before, sorry about that), and the latest update is definitely a solid continuation.

I was just covering my all the bases by listing all the possibilities. I know it was taken by the police, but since if the police tow your car and sell it, that's impoundment, so the only way for it to not be impoundment would be for it to be done by someone else.

Prefacing this by saying, if you wanna bend things a bit for the sake of the narrative, that's fine, not gonna argue with that, what I'm about to say is just for the sake of clarity.

I'm confused by what you mean by your first paragraph (not the drama part), since you've basically said, you're right it wouldn't have been impounded but it would have been impounded. Private citizens can't just tow and scrap other people's vehicles, even abandoned or illegally parked ones, if the government tows it, that's impoundment, which requires conditions for a vehicle to be considered abandoned and thus eligible for impoundment, which I don't think are met here.

I think there are cases where private companies can impound vehicles, but generally those are either government contractors, who are bound to the same restrictions as governments, or done to repossess vehicles after the owner fails to make payments.

I realize this is a small detail relatively speaking, but from what I understand the MCs car wouldn't really be evidence and wasn't parked illegally or abandoned, so wouldn't actually meet the requirements to be impounded in most places.

For the first part, thanks a lot. I appreciate it.

For the second part I think I might have made my example a bit too hyperbolic and muddled my point. I get that the MC is supposed to be rich, I more was talking about like, conspicuous consumption, i.e. buying expensive things, not cause they're better quality or cause you like them better, but for the sake of showing off how much money you can afford to spend. It makes it hard to play a more modest character, or a character that doesn't really care about like appearing super wealthy, cause like sure you can pick a cheaper car or house, but then like you not only have to have a designer outfit for the funeral but the most expensive designer outfit.

Like I think the car options are a good example of what I mean. Like the 'modest' option is still a limo, which is really only something you buy to show people you can afford to be driven around in a limo. I honestly felt like the bike was a more modest option, cause that's is something I could much more see as something you'd purchase cause you genuinely wanted it, rather than just to go, "hey look at me, I can pay $1 million for a car then hire someone to drive me places".

Also, sidenote, if the cheapest house option is supposed to be a renovated townhouse, there's an error in the game, cause the options presented are a $95 million town house or an $18 Million renovated mansion.

Also in regards to spoilers, the answer is Itch doesn't have a way to hide spoilers in comments.

Hey so I've read through the demo, and while I really liked it overall there was one big thing that I felt was a bit off. Apologize in advance if this is something already adressed later.

(Minor Spoilers Ahead)

So basically I found it very strange that like the MC's dad is apparently queerphobic enough that your brother is afraid to come out, but then is just completely fine with like using whatever the MCs prefered pronouns I guess.

Now I get not wanting to have a character constantly misgender the MC, and I guess it is technically possible, if unlikely, for someone to be homophobic but not transphobic, so I would be willing to just roll with it, if it weren't for this next bit.

Basically, at least to me, it kinda feels like it kinda implictly codes the MC as cis if they're a man or woman. Like if their nonbinary, you just gotta roll with it, there's no real way to think their cis, so you just gotta accept their dad is apparently extremely homophobic, but 100% okay using the MCs prefered pronouns. But like if you're playing as a character that goes by he/him or she/her, and you have a father whose a bigot, but then doesn't seem to have any sort of problem using your prefered pronouns/name, it kinda, at least to me, gives off the implication that your character is cis.

The only other much smaller thing is I'm kinda disappointed you can't like choose to not have a bunch of super expensive stuff. Like I wanna just play the family member that everyone hates, cause I always rock up in the my Honda Civic wearing the same $50 suit I bought 10 years ago at Target. But that's mainly personal preference, not really an actual problem or anything.

I realize it's probably too late to do much about it, with it coming out in just over 2 weeks but I still figured it couldn't to at least mention it. Better late than never and all that.

Other than that, like I said, really enjoyed what's there so far, and will definitely read the full thing when it's out.

Hey the premise of this game seems pretty interesting, but I have one question. Is the MC explicitly homosexual, or is it just that there are only homosexual options? As in, could the MC be headcanoned as bi/pan without contradicting the text of the story?

Found an issue where if you select a second ailment, the link to progress is broken. Seems to happen regardless of the combonation.

The option it seems you wanna pick is "You smiled, seeing your body. You were confident and happy with how it looked." I tested it out and that one, as well as one at the bottom about being neutral towards your body both don't give you the line about being trans, and I assume this is the case with the one that explicitly mentions being cis as well though I didn't bother testing.

So basically, it seems to be, if the option mentions hormones and/or surgery your character will be trans if not they'll be cis.

I have an, admittedly kinda niche, issue to bring up. [kinda maybe minor spoiler ahead] Basically what happened was I named my character Ash, leading to me being really confused during the memories, before I figured out what as going on.

I'd maybe suggest that if it's possible, adding some sort of check and warning to prevent this wouldn't be a bad idea. Just like if you enter the name Ash or another name shared by a character it'd just say like "Hey another character shares this name, do you still want to use it?"

Other than that, I really like the game. Definitely an easy 5/5 for me.

Hey I really liked the demo. I have one question though, the latest development log post says it was supposed to be updated May 31, but it hasn't been was there some kind of delay or is the updated version somewhere else?
