That sounds like it would make things difficult, but isn't there other options besides abandoning it out right? like perhaps it could be done with a remake? Or a whole new game based off the same idea and concept but starting it at a similar spot or situation that the original game stopped at? Maybe even use different character names and or models if needed because in my opinion the game is great so far and has a lot of potential. I'd hate to see it die before the story was finished
